it's nice and clean, the grey background should be lighter, not that dark, all the rest is fine for me. good work guys
- Dorian Tireli
I like new design. It better shows the original post, it is more readable. User icons instead of service icon also provide more information. Not sure about those colors and gray background - don't think they should be so vivid.
- Kirill Maximov
Where are groups? Gone? Sorry to hear your users can only comment on colors. Pretty shallow.
- Antonio Piccolboni
great, but real time as default on the home feed annoyed me into checking my email

It isn't about featers. There are features enough. It's about look and feel. And that is worse in this beta.
- Peter
filters are great! abonnements should be separated (e.g. with a line) between the former rooms and the friends. And I would prefer knowing from which service the post comes since I don't read twitter feeds from people I follow on twitter.
- Stefan Leitner-Sidl
and the fly-over-window with the services one imports to FF should include the "unfollow" button as it was in the old version.
- Stefan Leitner-Sidl
I like the look and feel but miss the popular groups etc... there is no real way to track where the group "action" is that I have found and would hate to see a step back in the group area. Will there be something similar? Is there already and I can't find it?
- Allison
The biggest drawback of the new UI is that it facebookishly emphasizes *who* shared something. As I see it, FriendFeed is about *what* is being shared -- as opposed to other social networks, content is what usually sets the tone of discussion on FF, not sender. The angle is what makes a difference, and that angle is somehow changed in the new UI. New features are great.
- Ognjen Strpić
don't like. it's not friendfeed now, it's another thing
- Luca Di Ciaccio
"A new freeware app makes tethering the G1 to a PC or laptop straightforward, without requiring that users hack the Android firmware or have root access. PdaNet allows a USB-connected Android cellphone to work as a tethered modem - with either cellular or WiFi data - with a single click."

Google changed its favicon last year and many people said that the new one was ugly. Probably this the reason why Google decided to use another favicon starting from today. The new favicon uses all the colors from Google's logo, while keeping the same lowercase "g".
- LouCypher
Better but needs work. Do not need to show a G but why not just show the three colored balla they have various places on their about pages, etc. It is very easy to associate with Google

Is Mesh any good? Does it live up to the hype?
- Sally Church
live mesh is like the crap version of dropbox
- Tyler Gillies
It's a crap version of a great product Microsoft already owns, FolderShare. Granted they're trying to build a platform for networked apps around it, but so far it's a far cry from anything useful.
- Evan Sims
I switched to this from FolderShare. With files stored on the server, it doesn't require synced computers to be on at the same time. I would probably go back to FolderShare if they implemented this.

It would be incredible to see some RSS support built in to the 360 sometime in the future, so we can follow you online!
- Ian Rathbone
Excellent idea, Ian. I also wonder why there is no 360 Web Browser. Could do things with video (Hulu? On my 360? Netflix streaming too? Yes please!) on my 360 without having to worry about setting up Media Center with an Extender.
- Jason B.
Thanks Jason, I'd have to admit i'm one of the few who aren't interested in a 360 web browser. I don't think i'd use it enough.
- Ian Rathbone
I'd settle for some sort of twitter esque support, and something that blogs your gaming movements.
- Ian Rathbone
Ian, my thoughts on the web browser is if you make it support flash/silverlight/etc you could use it to access movies, tv shows, etc on Hulu, Netflix and the like. I'd never use it for casual web browsing but for that I sure would. If you want somethign to blog your gaming movements, try http://www.360voice.com/
- Jason B.
Fair point, it makes sense for someone who commonly uses those sorts of apps, and over here in the UK we're not fortunate enough to have a lovely service like Netflix! I'm more than happy with the ability to play divx on my 360 otherwise. As for 360voice and the other online 360 blogging utilities, i think they're great! But i'd love something official that immediately updates an online utility like twitter. For example, I unlock an achievment on GTA, I don't know of anything like this at the moment.
