I get to see Neil from SYTYCD tonight at the Bring It On: The Musical's in LA. Here Neil Haskell gives us a tour of his dressing room - YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
I have to agree, though I'm glad the judges didn't try to blow sunshine, showing more candor than usual (except for the guest judges, most of whom never felt comfortable giving critical feedback).
- Kevin Fox
In other news, I think Melanie is going to take this in a walk.
- Kevin Fox
Kevin, I think you're right, though I personally prefer Sasha.
- chrisofspades
I'm between Melanie and Sasha, and I think one of them will win for sure. I thought last night had a couple of the worst dances of the season (that starting disco number was AWFUL), which was disappointing for the finale.
- Shannon Jiménez
Fwd: Indy and I watching SYTYCD!! (via http://ff.im/JCmiM) - I have to say I was underwhelmed by most of the dances tonight. Sometimes it was the dancers but mostly I think it was the choreographers were either trying to do too much or just weren't great. There were a few highlights in there and I thought the solos were the best of the season!
Dances I really liked were Sasha and Melanie's 50's house wives and Melanie and Robert's sad love story. I also like Tadd and Joshua's hip hop even though Tadd was a bit off and not as good as Joshua.
- Rachel Lea Fox
Oh and I really liked Marco and Lauren's attraction dance a lot too! Everything else was just kind of meh!
- Rachel Lea Fox
I'm a little annoyed at the judges. I think they are being awful easy on some of the contestants. They were judging Jordan and they were purposely avoiding talking about her legs during the dance and kept drawing attention to how she used her arms. It was a waltz, you can't avoid how she used her feet. And my opinion, she was TROMPING through her..
... dance. Her stance was too far apart and you could see in her hips how tromp tromp tromp she was going. It was not elegant. Only Travis is being even close to honest with most of the contestants. *sighs*
- Rachel Lea Fox
I haven't watched today's yet, but I know what you mean. The first show was such a love-fest that I was worried that they had somehow banned negative comments this season.
- Shannon Jiménez
I'm okay if they are a little easy the first episode or so to ease the dancers in, but that should be over by now. And really I think they are playing favorites. They seem to lay into a few of them who barely deserve it and then be easy on someone who wasn't so great.

from iPhone
Aren't they that way every season? They don't criticize their favorites as much as some of the others.
- Katy S
Katy, the do do this every year but for some reason last night seemed more blatent than usual. I think it was because it was a waltz where most emphasis is on the foot work than many dances and the footwork was SO BAD it was hard to ignore to ignore and yet they did. Maybe it is because I have done a decent amount of social ballroom dancing, but I've also experienced and worked tech...

I've really felt like that all this season - a few seasons ago, there would've been some healthy criticism thrown in there. I feel like it has gone a bit mooshy.
- Jennifer Dittrich
I haven't seen tonight's show yet, it's only 6pm here!

I nominate Thom Yorke of Radiohead for SYTYCD Guest Performer for next season > - Thom Dances to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
Jeanine Mason will be performing TONIGHT on "Dancing with the Stars"!! Please tune in at 8pm to ABC (@itsjeaninemason) on Twitter - http://twitter.com/itsjean...
"I'd still put Lauren at the odds-on favorite to win the whole thing unless she cracks under the pressure over the next two weeks (though she should be safe next week under the same "the-judges-will-want-a-girl-around" principle)."
- Pokai
Stupid Tivo was recording on the wrong channel and I didn't notice till half an hour in (when I turned on the TV). Glad they finally are putting the episodes online this season...
I agree with Rachel... I would like Lauren to win though!
- Georgia
I think Kent will win. I used to hate Robert but he redeemed himself a bit in my eyes last week, so I don't really care who wins. I'm still carrying a torch for Alex.
- Shannon Jiménez
I think Lauren will win but think Kent should.
- SteVe C
Satisfied with the result, though I thought it would go the other way. I didn't see the second-place winner on the stage with everyone else afterwards. Emotionally drained?
"The top three were very strong tonight. All of them deserve to win. The vote is already over 13 million" - Nigel Lythgoe (dizzyfeet) on Twitter - http://twitter.com/dizzyfe...
I really like Robert, with Lauren and Kent tied for second favourites. I'd be happy with any of them winning, though. I was always rooting for Alex, so I really hope he can make it back for next season.
- Lola Bean (Penguin)
Ah damn, that's a good point. Must be that after the Vegas round (or Top Ten?) if a contestant leaves due to injury/illness they can't return the following season? I remember Billy? had to leave last year and they allowed him back, but he left much earlier in the competition.
- Lola Bean (Penguin)
After Alex left I haven't really settled on a favorite, but I like how Kent has been maturing over the past few weeks.
- Shannon Jiménez
the entire season is basically a loss. if I had to, I'd settle for the last remaining female.
- chrisofspades
I don't think Robert has a chance of winning. He has been in the bottom too often and doesn't connect enough with the viewers. I think it's between Kent and Lauren.
- Rachel Lea Fox
I'm surprised Robert wasn't cut this week. Kent has a much better shot.
- Kevin Fox
I think the next two to go will be Billy and Robert (possibly Jose in there too, but cute conquers all). Kent has a good chance of winning.
- Shannon Jiménez
i agree on billy. he has this weird vibe. i noticed it when he tried in past seasons.
- Pokai
I think it was wrong of them to say that Billy Bell had an advantage because he had a week of rest (while healing from an injury he will have to work around) when at the same time saying that they are bring in experts to help fix whatever is going wrong and injuring the dancers. He has to think about his body and his career as well as the competition. They are pushing the dancers hard...
