@Ethan Klapper Maybe the people who follow you have very high-traffic twitter streams. I have just started following you and I ignore no one. That is unless you annoy me.:-)
- Shane Floyd
I'm still not sure how I want to or should tweet. And I have 2 profiles for 2 very different "audiences" that are colliding. I think I'm conversing with myself, for the most part.
- Kimberly J
Maybe that is your problem! You need to Brand yourself who and what you are! Maybe integrating the profiles into one will help you fix your problems. We are living in Web 2.0 Social media aggregation!

I admit that for a long time I just didn't get the @ replies when I see them on someone's "stweam" because even if you clicked through, it may not make sense once a couple of hours have past.
- Wil
Sounds like Relationships! You say one thing she thinks something else, or vise o versa! lol

I barely use @. Literally. I am the strangest Twitter ever. Look at me: http://twitter.com/tamar. It's something I'm still trying to figure out how I want to use.
- Tamar Weinberg
tamar you used twitter to win a free shirt and scarf that was cool!
- jaybol
I feel like I am more of a conversation starter. Although I definitely try to respond to most Tweets directed to me or where I have something good to add.
- Muhammad Saleem
I try to start conversations, but nobody likes me on twitter..lol
- Rah-PM 2012
usually conversation-starter. i love when people ask for questions for interview subjects. And my occasional irreverence is hopefully more endearing than annoying. it is fun to seek out particular hot topics via summize and stream of consciousness-style follow your contacts @ reply contacts.
- Andy Sternberg
I tend to be a replier more than a conversation starter. I'm not sure how everyone keeps up with all of the tweeting and still get work done.
- Gemstar38
I probably reply more, unless I'm posting something trivial just for the sake of getting something posted that week. It's a hard place to have a conversation, but I pick up on some informative links by following it.
- Heidi Cool
The latter. It fits better with my lurker-like personality. Also, replying isn't exactly easy; if someone tweets something I want to reply to, say, 30 min ago, and has posted one or more unrelated tweets since, the only way to reference the tweet of interest is to somehow quote what he said. Tough to do in <140 chars.
- Larry Huffman
I try to do both, but I suppose I'm more reactive if I had to choose one
- Brett Kelly
Look guys, Twitter is a street corner on 42nd street in NYC! I hope you get the analogy! You standing on a corner try to say hello to people you do not know! Dah!
