What are the features FFers want? (to make some scalability problems)
Most "Liked" entries of today, yesterday, this week, all time - Özer (Wrzl) Dölekoğlu
Detailed room stats with graphs and also Google Analytics compatibility - Özer (Wrzl) Dölekoğlu
longer comments - Ming-Chih Kao
being able to reply to specific comments (like reddit) - Ming-Chih Kao
While all points brought up here are great, there is one thing that I hope FriendFeed never does and that's being able to paragraph comments. Keeping them in a single paragraph forces the writer to keep their thought process to a single thought and will mean that conversation is kept on track and does not go off on a tangent. - Timothy Neilen
Yeah I agree with Timothy. Pressing Enter doesn't take you to the next line, it just posts the comment immediately :( - Shankar Ganesh
I would like to see longer comments but not too long! We are not trying to write a post but micro blogging. Tim your points makes sense, but there advantages and disadvantages to indent comments - to reply to the commentator vs an OP. We may want to experiment with this for the rooms. And if it is integrated the room admin will have the option to enable it. Even an option to enable it for a specific post. - Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
I'm not sure if I made sense with my earlier comment, I agree with all of the posts above I was expressing that with a revamp of the comment system (to allow longer comments, and being able to reply to specific comments) that FriendFeed should not allow comments to exceed more then one paragraph. It keeps the writer on the track of one thought pattern per comment and this helps to generate proper conversation and less noise. - Timothy Neilen
Tim, thanks for clarifying it. - Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
@koolkao I would hate to see unlimited nesting for comments because it simply gets out of hand. If twitter can do well with a flat namespace and people innovate around it, FF's comment+like system is already one notch up the complexity ladder. Bringing it any further will just kill it, IMHO. - Wil
Vote for allowing CRLF in comment box - Toni @ NavinoT
System must blame most followed users automatically >:P - Ozer Wrzl (EN)
I would like the ability to collapse entries so I just see the who/what of the entry without the comments. The ability to do a quick topscan then dig into the comments for things I'm interested in would be great. - awilliams
Polls and sub rooms - MikeonTV
An option for creating unmoderated rooms - Andy Roberts
Comments with paragraphs are easy! FF doesn't disallow them, it's just a browser issue. See? No trouble. Have another paragraph! - Benjamin Kudria
Doh! Maybe not. Anyway, my vote is for replies to comments. - Benjamin Kudria
