erm, Vice Presidents and Presidents have to be born in the USA, so that would mean we know they are all born in the USA
- Socom
Socom, where are oboma's medical records, real birth certificate, works he wrote in college why is he hiding all this stuff from the people of the USA.
- Csturm
This brith certificate thing is the most desperate thing yet..."Well...we don't know he's a citizen!" "Yes we do, here's the birth certificate" "Well....it's fake, that's it!". Why not just admit your "fear of other" and say "He ain't like us!" and be honest.

Mark wasn't kidding. http://rizzn.com/blog... Let us take care not to alienate each other over this election, regardless of our opinions. Nov. 4th will come and go, and we will be left with fewer online friends and colleagues if we are not careful.
- Neal Jansons
genieyclo, american gov does not vet anyone for office. Who has checked and vetted either one of them?
- Csturm
Carroll, given the amount of money that their respective parties invest in the campaigning, I would hope that someone, somewhere has done a little research. In comparison to millions of dollars in advertising, how much can it cost to fly to HI or a military base in Panama to check the hospital records?
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
Three different stories on the birth place of oboma. 1 kenya by his grandmother, 2. his sister says one hospital in HI and 3. oboma states a different hospital in HI. Which one is correct?
- Csturm
So, not that I want to open this can of worms, but Carroll, just out of curiosity, since you feel he was not born in the states and/or his Cert is a fake, what do you think is the whole plan behind it?
- Socom
@socom - you seem to think Saint O has a plan.
- Ernie Oporto
why is it not the original copy? why is the date stamped on the back and why no stamp from court house? Why did he/campaign release the short form instead of the copy that has birth weight, length, etc.?
- Csturm
Why does oboma campaign not require information to be correct for donations under $200 dollars as McCain and Hillarys did?
- Csturm
@ernie I don't think he is a saint, or perfect or that he hasn't bent the truth just like every other politician out there, but I also don't think as some people imply that he is trying to sneak into office to do some harm to us and/or our country.
- Socom
@carroll those are good questions.. but what is the point ...
- Socom
@carroll, I heard Obama is Green Lantern.
- AJ Batac
Sturm: Did you read the link(s) I posted?
- Tanath
Carroll, do you have an original, properly stamped, birth certificate for McCain? He was born in Panama- at least Hawaii is a state. Also, what are your sources?
- anna sauce
Will find out on the 4th? or wait to about 6 months and see if biden is correct and some country will test oboma.
- Csturm
@Carroll good way to avoid @anna's statement and question...
- Socom
@carroll, they're no match for Green Lantern... pew pew pew
- AJ Batac
I find the entire act of questioning his very valid Birth Certificiate a xenophobic action that nobody is doing to McCain (despite Panama Canal birthplace) and I also wonder- Carroll, are you an immigrant? Because as a granddaughter of Swedish immigrants, Barack's story is very similar. I find the making of his heritage, on one side, an issue, really un-American. We're a country of immigrants.
- anna sauce
@carroll just for the record, McCains Cert you just showed is short form instead of the copy that has birth weight, length, etc... just quoting you :) ohh.. and I don't see a stamp either.. hmm
- Socom
@Carroll, so how is that fuzzy scan any more or less believable than what Obama produced?
- Jeff P. Henderson
@Jeff and the the fact that the whole thing is fuzzy except the letters USA.. those are clear as a bell... holy crap I cant believe I have stayed up for this conversation.. going to bed... craziness.
- Socom
...Arrr, i just hope I remember t' reset e'erythin' before Me lea'e on 'acation tomorrow mornin'. Otherwise, I'll be a pirate all week long, argh!
- ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
lol crap I missed that the first time! thats awesome :) Have to give them a lot of credit for this.. To find yer maties who are already sailin' the Seven Seas on the Good Ship Facebook, stand in the Crow's Nest and use the Weather-eye for jolly companions.

Saw it tonight. Good ad. Look, I do actual stuff on a PC. Apple made it seem like you couldn't open a program without Vista crashing. Ridiculous.
- Eric @ CSTechcast.com
I like these news ads, but I also liked the Gates/Seinfeld ads. The I'm a PC ads really have a message though.
- David Ward
Awesome awesome awesome ads. The mac ads won't be that funny anymore. I'm a mac and a pc :)
- Kamath (नमः)
Last time I used Windows, that's how it felt. If I installed the wrong app, it would bork my registry and force me to reinstall the whole os. I hear XP is not as bad as that anymore, but first impressions can be scarring.
- Victor Ganata
Now, aren't Macs really PC's since they're running Intel chips, just without Windows?!?!
- David Ward
These ads are the natural follow on from the Seinfeld ads, so I wonder where they were heading. These new ads are a good start but I think they need to go further - we know lots of people use them, they are the number 1 operating system in the world. What we need to know is why we should switch/not switch.
- CJPhoto
Well, uh, PC stands for personal computer. My Commodore 64 was considered a PC in its day and age, as was my school's Apple IIe. So yeah, I'd say a Mac was a PC as well, but not necessarily because it uses x86 tech.
- Victor Ganata
an advert is not going to make decide to switch or not switch. waste of money microsoft. spend some of this wasted money on fixing more bugs.
- Joe Breen
I was in the minority appreciating the last set. But these are pretty compelling.
- Chris Baskind
I liked the last ads and I think these are dreaful. What's more they feel so patronising, like some kind of Government ad that makes its obvious point in a silly, clunky 'inclusive' isn't this clever way
- PaulJohnson
Microsoft have done a really good job with these ads... trying to break away from "that" stereotype and not really going head on with the Apple ads
- Jay
Really? You like that? What about a better product? Something with WOW factor?
- CW™
I'm a Mac fan, but this ad is actually pretty good. Saw it on TV last night. Was impressed.
- Kate
2 more on the site now. And they're really good.
- Steve Lowe
These are pretty good, I like them. Nice to see a graffiti artist in there :)
- Thomas Hawk
I was sort of disappointed. It definitely has a clearer message, but I'm still waiting for them to show me: a) why I should love PCs or b) why I WILL love PCs ... not why I have to use PCs.
- Tim Hoeck
1st I'm a 'both' but... Where is the one "I'm PC and I just use it for spreadsheets" or "I'm a PC and I use it to send emails to my grandkids" or "I'm a PC and I play videogames"... The Mac ads worked because they talked to how I use the computer, not how others do... Interesting start though :)
- Johnny Worthington
The show a little imagination. I liked Seinfeld including the extended version. Will we get the directors cut and unrated versions soon?
- Michael VanDervort
These aren't great, but they are by far better than the other ads.
- Bryan
Great Ad... except my Windows doesn't boot any faster or run any more reliably. This warm and fuzzy won't last. You know, You can put lipstick on a pig...
- Phil Yanov
night and day. gates/seinfeld = disaster. "i'm a pc" = almost good, suprisingly
- cjmart
Excellent. Making Mac look mean for saying the rest of us (most of the world) aren't cool. Good marketing can make anything cool. The election has shown us that.
- Roadgoer
not a bad ad for a flexible "it's OK to be just OK" hardware platform, but what does it have to do with Microsoft? Nothing. Fail. The "I am GNU/Linux" comment makes a good point, too.
- No FB
good point regarding the elections. seems everyone is concerned with how well an "entity" presents itself rather than what it actually does. i could give a shit less how awesome any mac or pc ad is or how well obama speaks. just let me compute and fix the economy.
- Todd Kitta
from twhirl
I refuse to accept the definition that a PC specifies only Windows/Intel machines. I can't believe Microsoft bought Apple's lie.
- Victor Ganata
Did you upgrade to the latest firmware? I had this same problem but it was fixed when I upgraded my iTouch. Maybe the phone works differently...
- Eric Geller
I was going to make a smart comment about the implications of tweeting a device, but I follow @MarsPhoenix :)
- Mattb4rd
i really dont get why the update/backup process can take FOREVER, its not a lot of data. processor on phone must be S L O W
- sean percival
Agreed. WTF is up with that backup?! I'm on the 2.0.2 and almost every time I sync, backup kicks in and seems to think it needs to dump the entire phone. Why isn't it an incremental? And I really don't care that content I upload from iTunes is backed up. It's already in my iTunes. Just backup the settings. /sigh
- ·[▪_▪]·
I've restored my iPhone 3 times in the last 2 days. The Apple logo of death showed up after a sync. Some app is making the springboard crash resulting in an endless loop of restarting. I'm only installing a small amount of apps until there's an update.
- Rodfather
No problems here. Takes less than a minute to sync and back up. Y'know you can cancel the back up by clicking on the (X) beside the "Backing Up" text?
- Paul Reynolds
I always just cancel it now, with as many apps as I have it seems to take over an hour, who can spare that much time?!
- Socom
I've been canceling backup most of the time but I try to let it go once a week or so just to see if the next time it'll go fast. Nope. Always takes about an hour.
- ·[▪_▪]·
This especially bothers me in the morning, when I want to make one last sync before I get on the road, and of course am running late . . .
- Peter Ghosh
LOL! Really! I'm glad I did not get one of the new iPhones. I hope things get better with software upgrades.
- Ric
Try syncing on a Mac that only has USB 1.1... :/
- Jason Wong
I twittered Veronica this but I figured all the people joining the chorus would find this useful. Here is an article from Gizmodo on how to disable the backup process on Macs. http://gizmodo.com/5029121...
- EJ Finneran
Tried it last night and it was hit or miss. Not sure I understand how to word search phrases though as long ones seemed to choke. I'll have to try it out a little more. The UI is rather uninspiring though.
- Jeff P. Henderson
I searched for my name and multiple results for James Dean came up. Go figure!

We’ll be back soon... Due to overwhelming interest, our Cuil servers are running a bit hot right now. The search engine is momentarily unavailable as we add more capacity. Thanks for your patience. - Sadly I dont think it is positive interest at this point from what I have read.
