I love it how people who said I was treasonous and unpatriotic for wanting to impeach Bush for starting a war based on lies and condoning the use of torture, now have impeach Obama signs on their front lawn.
Will anybody admit to buying and playing the godawful E.T?!
- TDavid
@Abby that was Adventure in all its blocky castle glory, yup.
- TDavid
Used to love Adventure with the keys and dragons. I never had Asteroids but my friends did. Never quite got the hang of it. I would accelerate too much and end up zooming diagonally across the screen out of control.
- Barak B
I loved Pitfall Harry. And even broke the score where you can send in a picture of the screen and they'll give you a patch. but dang my mom, she wouldn't take a pic of the screen so no patch for me. It was devestating!
- Jason Shultz

wow, this popped back up from almost a year ago... dang! Do I have to start doing the E.T. noise again?
- Fa La La La Lindsay
I love classic games. I still have an original Nintendo to play Mario:)
- Rob Cairns
I still have an Atari but I haven't touched it in years. I'm not sure if it still works. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to hooking it up again.
- jenali
thanks, Kristen, it's one of my favs; I am doing well, holly. almost got to see my neighbor set himself on fire, so that was interesting...
- Bren -- feeling merry
a bit of excitement to liven up the night! how did he manage (or almost manage) that?
- holly
he was burning something in his front yard, using gasoline as an accelerant and the container caught briefly... Kris sprung into action and grabbed an extinguisher, but by the time we got out there, he had put the gas container out. He of course did not stop burning whatever it was he was burning, so we called the fire department and anonymously asked them to come out and make sure he didn't burn the whole neighborhood down.
- Bren -- feeling merry
Dude, unfortunately Farsi has been combined with Arabic for centuries. Salam is Arabic and means Peace; but in Farsi it's used as Hello. In Farsi, we have beautiful word "Dorood" for hello.
- Daryoosh (داريوش)
hey Brent, I have a reputation for living in the dark! Dayroosh: Salam, and/or dorood! :)
- Bren -- feeling merry
Rock on with your bad ass frenchie.
- Mark Krynsky
tour de france, captain and coke and plans for a big party tomorrow afternoon... who could ask for more?
- Bren -- feeling merry
also, I want a new bicycle. who would like to supply me with a Colnago C50 equipped with Campy Chorus 11 compact, and Zipp 404 wheels?
- Bren -- feeling merry
Hola, papi. (note, it's just after six am when I'm seeing this...)
- Derrick
I think they're doing that just fine on their own without her help.
- ::Kristen::
I think Palin could have changed a whole lot by then. She has two years to prepare.
- Meryn Stol
bailing out on the job she was elected to do is her own political suicide - there's no way she can explain that away later unless she uses this time to solve world hunger or create world peace - short of that she is screwed at the national level
- William Harryman
I agree, William. How does it make any political sense for her to bail out on her elected position as Governor and then to run in 2012 for President? That has to come back to bite her.
- Criz
It's not really going to be to hard for the GOP to win in '12, given that by that time Obama will surely have screwed just about everyone already.
- Spencer
People, lay off the MSG -- Palin is forever a hopeless joke, and Romney will destroy her in the primaries. And then lose. The country is center, not center right anymore. And Romney is center right. 7+ more years in the wilderness (well earned).

MSNBC says shes getting out of politics completely as,she didn't want to be in politics, didn't want to be a lame duck and as a result, she's stepping down instead of serving out a term that she wanted nothing to with - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id...
- Nicholas James
MSNBC is not a news reporting company they are a puppet for the Obama state run media. As for Palin she was a lame duck governor, bad move to resign yes if she runs for president. Quite frankly I wouldn't blame her a bit for dropping out of politics, after what the state run Obama media and corrupt political parties have done to her family and kids. I don't think she's the type to let the media and the political establishment get to her if anything she's tired of seeing what they are doing to our country.
- Russ Jackson
I for one hope she runs for President and takes on the political establishment and starts to clean it up of all the liars, cheats, and criminals. We've had male presidents for over 200 years and I think it's time that a woman goes in and cleans out Washington.
- Russ Jackson
Russ, if you are able to say that with a straight face you are the best actor the world has ever seen.
- Alex Scoble
I'm assuming Russ hated Foxnews during Bush's Presidency. He's just searching for unbiased reporting.
- Andrew

I think Russ is entitled to his opinion as much as you are for your intolerance of it, guys.
- Mike Lewis
When Bob Dole resigned from the Senate to actively campaign for Prez is 1996, I supported it. His constituents would not be represented if he was out running for Prez. I think any elected official should have to resign to actively campaign for another office and should not be able to run for two offices at once. However, resigning 3 years before the race is just stupid. And I don't want her as the candidate anyway...
- Joey Gibson
lol, ron, yeah, she probably hasn't started writing yet -- those 3 years will go by awfully fast. Think she'll be wearing running shorts in the jacket photo?

Here is a quote from it. In any case, Palin has crossed the Rubicon and made her stand clear. She gave us a hint before when she said "Politically, if I die, I die." I think this was her equivalent of alea iacta est. She will now be the anti-Obama, standing up for her personal beliefs, free of the constraints the Alaskan people have placed on her. She is now free of them, and they of her - though I think they will be the ones to regret it first
- Russ Jackson
Amazing. Nothing I've seen written about Obama even compares to that. I've read suicide letters from spurned lovers that were less emotional. Don't do it, Russ.

I love Jem and the Holograms. When I was a little baby gay, I used to call my Hag-itha on Sat. morning and watch this while wordlessly holding the phone to our collective ears. - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
why would you even try? this was a part of cartoon's great golden age!
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
I was Jem for Halloween 3 years ago. Had an awesome pink wig and all. Synergize!
- Tamara J.
Probably had something to do with the utter GIRLINESS of it all. It's too far back for me to remember. It was no Transformers.

Jem is truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.
- B. Hatin
Jem is my name, no one else is the same, Jem is my naaAAAMMmme - Jem!

Just remember- this is not a competition, just an exhibition. @Kyle - ever been to Culver, IN? Grew up there before moving to Chicago.
- michael sean wright
Nice: I have been to Culver! You are in Chicago now? I will have to let you know next time I am up your way.
- Kyle Lacy
Not sure about that, but: "Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future and time future contained in time past. If all time is eternally present all time is unredeemable." - Swatch, Always Now, 1997 (and yes my lunch, at 1:42am local, is consisting of a double martini so that actually makes some sense to me)
- David HC Soul
are you saying that time "now" has no meaning? i (obv.) reject this but toast your willingness to acknowledge the wisdom of a dean martin martini. now, for you sir, on to the work of most importance. focus on the permanent.
- michael sean wright
Well, I will grant that the sentiment of French Marshall Lyautey has some merit (he asked his gardener to plant a tree and when the gardener objected that the tree was slow growing and would not reach maturity for 100 years the Marshall was said to have replied, 'In that case, there is no time to lose; plant it this afternoon!').... So I am off to plant some trees....
- David HC Soul
you, i like. and will point you to Hermann Hesse before he won the Nobel Prize for 'The Glass Bead Game' in which he wrote in in the idyllic poem "Hours in the Garden" (1936)- 'I hear music and see men of the past and future. I see wise men and poets and scholars and artists harmoniously building the hundred-gated cathedral of the Mind." - (forword to Glass Bead Game by by Hermann Hesse by Theodore Ziolkowski.)
- michael sean wright
Thanks for the pointer - I'll go search it out.
- David HC Soul
I hope so. The thought is consuming much of my waking hours these days.... But I have to be up in 5 hours... so will have to return to the 'nightcrew' tomorrow night. One thing about time is it does seem to age one....

I could get a full-grown one or maybe two in my messenger bag...but seriously, like, baby kittehs are TEENY. So they're basically saying if you have any sort of receptacle on your body, down to the size of a coin purse, check it.

Those school assignments where you had to write the dictionary definitions to about 20 words would take me at least 4 hours to complete.
- April Russo (app103)
I definitely have that problem with encyclopedias... ever since I was a kid in fact. (The other kids actually called me ‘Encyclopedia Tony’, ugh.) With dictionaries I don't, unless it's the Visual Dictionary (seen it?)
- Anthony Citrano
I had an ancient dictionary that was a collectors item, given to me by my grandmother. One of the best "kids" dictionaries ever published. So good, it was rare I had to look anything up in a "real" dictionary till I was about 12. And yes, it had pictures. And I neatly colored them all in with colored pencils. :-D

"Don't pull the thang out, unless you plan to bang....Bombs over Baghdad"
- Live4Emma (L4S)
This was on the radio tonight on my way home from the gym
- RAPatton
omg, this was one of my favorites for *so long*. I'm talking until recently. it's like it put turbo boosters under my booty whenever I was about to fall asleep at work. what is it, like, 64/4 time? I never have been able to figure out what they meant by Bombs over Baghdad, though. Anyone know?
