Southern Right Hotel

As is often the case with events like this, some people who were on the guest list were unable to attend. Grete graciously coped with all the changes and did a great job of making sure that everything was in order. What a lovely morning we had! The food was fabulous and the servings generous! No one was kept waiting for their meals. The staff were courteous and very quick to sort out whatever was needed. Jessica and Michelle, who were in charge of the morning, were charming hostesses and attended to last minute details with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. They helped us to set up music, fill vases, organise a microphone, stow away bags and containers ... etc. etc. At no time did we feel rushed. At the end of the morning, as lunchtime customers arrived, our remaining guests moved happily to one large table and lingered on the deck, watching the sea and enjoying a relaxing drink. and the Eisbein was a nice as those served at the larney restaurants in Noordhoek !! And that means something! The service was slick even though the poor girls had to run up and down the staircase. Please pass on my congratulations and appreciation to all concerned in the hotel service at Mark Waite's wedding reception (co-ordinated by his mother, Coral Surtees). The hotel was busy with World Cup fans swarming everywhere but managed magnificently. Congratulations and thank you -- Philippe - southerner
