“Is Ning free for use? If so, how do they make money? Any help, Chris Pirillo?”

That remains to be seen. - l0ckergn0me
Don't they make money off those sites which wish to purchase a license so they can direct their domain to mask the ning domain? - Les Zaldor
There is a paid plan and what makes Ning compelling is that they use a flat-fee instead of PPI/PPC. I'm still waiting for them to embrace simple API sharing from other media such as Flickr, event sites such as Eventful or Upcoming.org, and Ustream/BlogTV - Glenn Batuyong
They make money off of advertising and upgrades... If you want to use your own domain, it's $5/mo. If you want to get rid of ads it's $20/mo... and there are other upgrades you'd probably need to pay for for a "serious" site. - Lindsay Donaghe
I have a pretty comprehensive review of Ning here: http://cli.gs/H6EVDa - JungleG

“Beyond frustrated. Blackberry Desktop Manager doesn't like my computer, and won't install without errors. Their nifty piece of software that would allow me to bring my Palm Treo data over to the new Curve doesn't work, either. I've tried every fix I can find. Looks like it's time to hand import.”

“Trying to figure out something. I'm being told that, in a YouTube video, you can have it act as a link, which will open whatever page you link into it. I'm not seeing any examples of this. For instance, if I post a YouTube of myself, can I have the video clickable?”
September 20 at 1:04 pm - Link
I'm told that we can not only put a link in there, but we can actually put a couple. I PERSONALLY think that the only thing a youtube video will link to, is back to youtube. Experiences? Thoughts? - Bradley McSpinn
