@Jason: Come on. It's market correction. It's a boom and bust cycle. We're in bust mode. Do you think credit stops, really? Really slow down, sure. But there's money out there looking for a good risk. All this does is make the bust longer and shallower which ultimately may cause Americans to doubt our system. For those saying this was unnecessary... Go read about the Swedish banking crisis of the '90s. They decided to wait. They slipped into a recession with 50% inflation and no available capital. They ended up buying out the bad debt and taking equity positions in the bailed out firms and worked their way out of the mess, even ending up making a small profit. - Jason Carreira

The banking sector needs the bailout but the ultimate result of creating this money out of nothing and dumping it into the economy is that it will have a dramatic effect on inflation. Intervention in the markets is not required by the government. Federal oversight is not required by the government. Learn how Fractional Reserve Banking really works before saying this bailout is needed. What IS needed are lawsuits and prosecutions. - Stephen Cropp

The new camera will sell for an estimated price of $2,700. It will have a full frame 21.1-megapixel sensor, DIGIC 4 imaging processor and an expanded ISO sensitivity range from ISO 50 to ISO 25,600. It will shoot at 3.9 frames per second (a disappointment to some who were hoping for a faster camera). Canon says that the new camera will be available at the end of November. It will also shoot 16:9 full 1080 HD video. The maximum length for videos on the new camera will be 4 GB per clip or 30 minutes, whichever comes first. Facebook is good but, it's annoying. I almost never use it. I just check it once a week or so. TGM had a community there but, none of us really care enough for Facebook to actually make use of it. I'm not too fond of the navigation and the constant app requests are beyond annoying. I'm just not a fan of it myself though I do see how it's a great social network. - Candace Holly

people don't understand good glass. My walking around lens is a 24-70 on my D700. Whenever I walk in the room someone makes a comment about how big it is. Sure it is a big lens physically but not as large as most super zoom point and shoot cameras. - gfurry

I understand and appreciate Jeremiah's concern and respect his opinion and he is a friend. I'm passionate about photographer's rights and abuse of authority though. I'm not sure how many of you have been somehow infringed on for photography in the past, but I bet it's a lot of you actually. As someone who shoots every day I pretty much see it happen to me every week. Standing up for our rights and blogging the most egregious cases though is a way to stand up for something that I very much believe in. - Thomas Hawk
