Acquired a Windows laptop that could plug into our TV. Is there an easy way to make it work as a #MythTV client and pipe video to it?
Couple of ways. Install MythUbuntu Wubi and dual boot (installs as a folder in your C: drive). Run MythTV for Windows (unstable though). Run a variety of MythTV clients (XBMC for Windows, etc.) Even run Vista Media Center and just point it at a share of your recordings - Kevin Kuphal
Thanks Kevin. I tried MythTVPlayer, which could play my recordings. Also managed to share my video folder so I could see it from Windows. I'll look at setting up something simple so the family can use it. Need to wire up network to near the TV first. - Steve
