"I'd be against raising the limit in general. A lot of the time you can't go that fast or not for long anyway. I see too many people who can't drive properly as it is. Plus it would increase fuel consumption as you say. If they do want to do it then it should not all the time, i.e. only at non-peak times when conditions are good. Plus the limits should be enforced more strictly. Even in Germany on the no-limit autobahns they have a limit when it's wet.  Personally, I mostly drive at under 70 in my little Hyundai, even though it can go faster. For the mileage I do I want to save a bit on fuel." - Steve

Re: Teenagers Will, Like, Totally Abandon Facebook for Google+ - http://www.readwriteweb.com/archive...
"Google+ obviously doesn't want the teens as you are supposed to be 18+. Obviously that won't stop them joining anyway. My daughter is 13 and into Facebook for chatting with friends. Haven't heard any complaints as yet." - Steve

"That sounds a lot like the jam I used to go to. I'm trying to start one nearer home (actually at the pub across the road). We had a first attempt this week, but I didn't publicise it much and some people I did talk to couldn't make it. There were a few of us there, so we still did some songs. I'm going to try again as it's fun when it works. I'm keeping it open to all kinds of acoustic music. I know there are a few musicians in our village who I would like to get there." - Steve

Re: A Stand-up Idea - http://web-den.org.uk/blog...
"It would be nice to have the option of working standing up at least some of the time. I've been to a client office where the desks could be electrically raised/lowered. Office desks are probably fairly expensive anyway and that would be hard to get past the penny pushers." - Steve

I have used this for local indexing on XP. I guess that install will keep working. They never updated the Chat client either, so I expect that could be for the chop too. - Steve

"I've seen a sparrowhawk twice in my garden and both times it killed a collared dove. Hasn't gone for the chickens yet, but they may be a bit big for it. I don't think the red kites have reached us yet" - Steve

"Well the colour matches your site theme. I bought an i10 last year as we got a good deal when we scrapped our old Rover. Mine is red too, but other colours cost extra and I'm not fussed. I think they are great cars for the money. You get all the extras you need without paying extra." - Steve

China’s Unthinkable Population Problem - http://blog.longnow.org/2011...
Seems obvious to me that countries should be basing their economies on models that don't depend on a growing population or infinite 'growth'. Then we might stand of surviving in the long term. - Steve

"That flower at the top looks a bit like some alien monster! The red does clash a little with your Folia boz and with most of your pictures being largely green, but otherwise okay. I tend to mostly read your site via GReader and so don't get to see the theme unless I come and comment" - Steve

Angry Birds as a Web App - http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2011...
Tried this in Chrome and Chromium on Ubuntu. It sort of works, but most of the birds, pigs and other objects are invisible, so it's a bit tricky to play. - Steve

"Don't get me started on light abuse. Far too many people driving around with their front fogs on, but these new lights are annoying too. I'm sure some people use their lights to appear more aggressive, but others are probably unaware of how annoying they are. Not too annoying, but odd are some cars that turn on the fog lights as people turn corners. Not sure what benefit that gives." - Steve
