Infinite Jest was one hell of a book, and the essays in A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again are fantastic. Both the state fair and cruise ship essays made me laugh until I cried. He also inspired me to write nonfiction, Laura. Of course now I'm thinking about James Incandenza, and am just glad that Wallace didn't choose to go out like THAT. - Steve is older than ever
