Is anyone planning to wait on line July 11 for the new iPhone? Just curious.
What time will the phone be made available on the 11th? 6PM like last year? - Al Degutis from twhirl
I'll wait for the rush to be over - Craig Thomler
I will wait and see how it works. I have to choose between iPhone and Blackberry, and since I need the mail, I would like to know how Mobile Me works (i.e: if I can use any account with it). And, of course, there's the problem of italian mobile fares, which are extremely high, specially regarding internet connection. - Kurai (ff) from twhirl
Too much of a hassle, I'll just wait till there's too many in stock. - Brandon
Trading in my BB 8800 on 7/11. Can't wait to throw it out the door. Exchange support and fast web browsing with the best mobile web device pushed me over the edge. - Bryon Thomas
nope, I'm waiting for Andriod - Josiah Lau from twhirl
Here are some camping tips for those standing in the queue: http://twurl.nl/4n1wvh - Nir Ben Yona
i think that iphone is only "another phone", because HDSPA at 3,6 (not 7,2) screen resolution 320x480 and no front camera. - Felter Roberto from twhirl
iPhone July 11th, Android in 2009. Both, I guess. - vanz
If the price is reasonable ... I want to turn one into iSmoke in my blender - Charles Heflin
iDon'tGivADamn - Noah David Simon
I heard having an iPhone will get you laid, chicks love them http://www.igorthetroll.com/blog... - Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
Not really, but it did get us 3G where I live now-- only 3 Cities in Georgia have it. - Aaron Myers
I'm not. It's an awesome phone, but I need more music storage space and I really like my blackberry. I'd be more likely to get one if it wasn't locked to AT&T. - ha3rvey (doink doink)
I should explain that I'm saving my pennies to get the largest iPod Touch available in mid-August. :) - ha3rvey (doink doink)
nah, 1.0 will have to hold me out for awhile. - Chris Harris
I'll get the iPhone, probably that first day even, but not waiting on line. - felix
no, my personal cell phone is a phone... that and text msgs are all I need - new job is going to be giving me a blackberry in a couple of weeks anyway - Jeff Quinton
I'll wait, upgrading feels like a ripoff to me right now. - Mrsth
Nope. AT&T 3G coverage is spotty between Philly and Allentown where I work / live so most of the benefit is a moot point for me personally. GPS is nice, but not a necessity for me. I'll likely stick with the lower priced voice/data plan for as long as I can. Then again, I may go check out the lines and talk to people... I just won't be IN the line. :) - Kevin C. Tofel
I definitely am. - www.MarketSaw.com
I would like to have one on day 1, but have no desire to camp. Is there a site out there somewhere that would give a good reading on demand (and supply)? I live in Topeka, KS so I'm just curious how many other fanatics there are. With the activation in-store I can see demand being much lower, and much fewer people buying the max they can due to lack of resell. - Paul Arterburn
you think the line will be as bad as the first time? - Paul Stamatiou
@Paul that's what I am trying to gauge. In short, no. - Steve Rubel
the only time I wthe only time I waited on line for anything was Morrissey's first solo gig in the US in aited on line for anything was Morrissey's first solo gig in the US in 91'? So no. - Laurent Courtines from twhirl
We'll potentially be having a sleepout on the evening of the 10th here in Tokyo http://www.iphoneinjapan.com/events... - Andrew Shuttleworth
No, it didn't really matter last time and I don't think it will again. I am still not sure I'm gonna make the upgrade. - Tony from twhirl
yep. i resisted the temptation of the first generation iPhone. i've waited this long for an iPhone with a GPS. so i'll be lining up at the Apple Store! w00t! - ~C4Chaos
How many stores ran out of supply to the line for 1st gen? And how long did it take to replenish? - Paul Arterburn
I'd like to do a head-to-head comparison of the 3G iPhone and 3G Blackberry (once it's out) before deciding if either one is worth it - Adam Sherk
In Boston area, there were lines, which were probably a blast, but few reports of shortages when the iPhone Mach I went on sale. that may have been different in other areas (was it?) but it seems that other than to hang out w/ other Apple fans, the lines/camping out may not be necessary-- that the feeling w/ others this time around? - Doug Haslam from twhirl
In Japan and Korea the WIN 3G Qualcom CDMA Network is real and at 2MB maybe more by now! What is wrong with USA? - Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
need to by one for my son ian who's leaving verizon but will not wait in line, he can if he wants though ;) - mike "glemak" dunn
I'll get in line around 6pm- so most likely, I'll finally get my iPhone on the 12th or 13th if I'm lucky:) - Amanda Mooney
no iPhone in my future.... I'm waiting for either Android or Palm's Linux OS, which ever comes first... if not... with Symbian on its way to being 'open' I may just go that route - nick carrasco
