I've had a couple of "teaser" tweets and wrote more about them on here. Kind of felt like the back story or the mouse-over from the XKCD comics. ;) Cool article, it's pretty neat how much you can accomplish in 140 character segments. In fact, though, I'm against multi-tweet messages (with cont'd, etc) and rampant abbreviations. For me it's an exercise in precise, concise language rather than taking a longer thought and making it artificially smaller.

I agree with you for the most part, @Paul. Micro-blogging for a purpose requires, like poetry, a tighter construction. That's why I have 2 Twitter accounts. One of them is expressly for micro-blogging and the other is more relaxed and personal. Now "tweeting", per se, I think, can and should allow for a bit more room since Twitter allows for multiple usage, ie, some use it as an alt IM, for example. And if that is the case, texting and extended "tweets" may be necessary to complete your communication.

Also, remember my warning to you about the length of the Chesterton quote? (Which I posted for you below-btw) ;) in all of its "cont. below" glory. Nice to know that you are "against" such things.lol

Paul, I totally agree.I have been using many these tips subconsciously while twittering.

@Paul, why thank you! I'm glad they meet with your approval. I'll try to keep more of them coming. :)
