I love the look of AF1s, but I find them extremely heavy compared to the minimalist sneakers I regularly wear - so it's really cool to see the Lunar Force 1, which is about 2/3rds the weight of the original.

"Nike has witnessed great success with Nike Free, but the Nike Free Powerlines provides a new take to the legacy that has been created on the flexible outsole. While most of Nike Free shoes are performance running and training shoes, the Nike Powerlines are technically a lifestyle as part of Nike Sportswear. The Free Powerlines were introduced to the public in some outdoor themed colorups, but really caught fire and attention from many with the release of the Gold Medal and Olympic makeups."

"The adidas adiZero Primeknit sounds uncannily familiar to a certain other shoe we've been talking a lot about, and for good reason. They incorporate the same knitting technology as Nike's much hyped Flyknit, but adidas has certainly injected their own flavor with subtle design differences (which, personally, I find more appealing). The Primeknit's design is more streamlined with a sleeker silhouette, and clearly looks less technical than their Nike counterparts."

"Although many brands are playing with bright colors not many are able to walk the thin line that embraces both the professional and the fashion conscious."

"If ever there is man who wasn't afraid to walk to the beat of his own drum it's Manuel Vanni. I've decided to nickname him "Mr. Guaranteed to make you smile"."

"Scott Schuman and Garance Doré--two of the Web's most prominent bloggers, boyfriend and girlfriend, and, as of June 4, CFDA honorees--are living, breathing, August Sander-adulating proof that you can make a career and a living off the nebulous entity called "street style." Scott stalks the streets by bicycle, shooting not only fashion insiders but kids, rakishly disheveled elderly gentlemen, and everyone in between. "You spend hours outside--it's like hunting," Doré says. Her subjects, by contrast, aren't just photographed: They're befriended, gossiped with, pumped for favorite vintage shops and coffee bars. If Scott hunts, Garance gathers. "She wants to interact with the person," he says."

"Today, sneakerheads planning their next custom pair, can add some new options to their arsenal. Of the additional choices added, the most notable ones include the removal of padding and lining for a minimalist look, hand-rolled and stitched laces, leather wrapped midsoles, premium leather inner-liners, leather hang tags, as well as laser etched packaging."
