"With the focus of menswear returning to sophisticated, long-lasting styles, many materials and designs are once again taking a stance in mainstream fashion. An example of this can be seen in the resurgence of Chambray. Known for experimenting with materials and prints upon its classic silhouettes, Converse presents its Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi Chambray for Spring/Summer 2012. The understated release arrives mocked up in Dark and Black Denim, a textile that often wears in better with time. The versatile Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi Chambray will be available at select stockists, including Converse’s online store. Retail is set at $60 USD."

I've never heard of him before today! But... "Make no mistake, Nick Wooster is an Internet superhero. If you're looking for proof, simply Google Image search the staggeringly well-dressed men's fashion director for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. OK, you're welcome. Images like those have become a meme unto themselves on Tumblr, the micro-blogging platform where Wooster has become a cult figure. " - http://www.gq.com/style...

I guess I've probably seen him before on the Sartorialist.

"This custom features a soft red suede upper with a floral stitch pattern, similar to the Hong Kong flag. The shoe is topped with white laces, midsole, and floral printed Swoosh. To take the inspiration further, the Hong Kong subway logo and Kanji are also on the shoe as well. These fresh joints are probably, again, very limited, but you can check out more of his work on his website."

"The ideal cuff length of shirt that should show is no less than half an inch. If the shirt shirt cuff doesn't show, the jacket is too long (or shirt too short)."

Too often, men wear jackets that are too long and it makes me sad to see a whole effect ruined by something so basic. Same with pant hems. Too often, they're too long or even worse, upturned hems. Ick.

"I know a lot of young designers and design students look at the site. A great self-challenge is to step outside of the fashion world and go to a basketball game or football game without any preconceived notions and just see it for the actual design elements. The advanced sport-specific fabrics, the color themes of team jerseys, the proportions, the graphics; they all are fertile material for modern design inspiration."

"As I was working of this photo it reminded me of a shot I took in Sodermalm, Stockholm a few years ago. This shot is evidence of the very direct influnce sports can have on even the most advanced street/runway looks. "
