Need a Google Wave nomination. If I get one, i'll wave first 8 (as far as I know get 8 nomination) who comments under this post. Thanks in advance. fatihkurtoglu@gmail.com
From the way I understand it, you only get those invites to give out "IF" the invitation you received was from Google, not from anyone else. If you receive an invitatiion from a source other than Google, you do not get any invites to give . . . TIM J. @ WWW.MHWD.ORG

only 16 responses? come on!! I thought people are going crazy for it out there!! I'm joking! include me too please, n.shamshiri @gmail.com
- Narges Milani
I got all the invites I needed, so I dedicate this thread to everyone who accepted my invites, so they can become Z-listers too. Sign up for Lockerz invites here! Post your e-mail and someone will hopefully send you one.
I still have 9 invites! Post your e-mail here for one, or e-mail it to me at gordon1470@gmail.com, if you don't have a FF account or want privacy.
- Gordon Emmerson
Yep, thought it was pretty good until I got a message a few months ago saying the site was being discontinued. It still appears to work ok but the message about being shut down is still at the top of the site.
- Mick Adams
I have 3 invites to Redux.com up for grabs. First come first served. BTW: The only way I will send an invite is if you comment on this post with your email address.
Email. I use the Mail App, so it is more prevalent on my screen. However, if I were to be using web-based email like I used to, I would almost certainly glance over FriendFeed first.
- James Mowery
LG, your organization and the articulation of the flow is impeccable haha

Socialthing, Friendfeed, Email. Why socialthing - I actually find it easier to read posts and sort through them without the comments etc. Then I use the best of features and rooms in friendfeed to read the more interesting stuff with comments and leave my own.
- Mick Adams
Twitter used to be the very first thing I checked. Now it's Friendfeed/Facebook, then Twitter, then forums, then news sites and (sometimes) e-mail.
- Jamie Clark
I suppose we could risk introducing a mid-conversation followup here: are you out of bed yet when you check?
- Chris Baskind
email, if I start on FFeed too quickly, I don't do anything else
- Michael W. May
from twhirl
E-Mail -- Google Reader -- Twitter (there is less to look at for me) -- FriendFeed
- Jake (aka Jawee)
from twhirl
Sadly, when I wake up, I don't even get out of bed. I pull the iPhone off the nightstand and check e-mail. Then I hit FF, followed by techmeme. Then... coffee. :)
- Kevin C. Tofel
FriendFeed is my home page - first thing I see when the browser loads. Then email.
- Hutch Carpenter
I have a bookmarks folder in Firefox with everything I open at the beginning of the day. The first thing I do in the morning is click "open all in tabs" in that folder. The usual stuff is in there -- Google personalized homepage, FF, Reader, mail, calendar (for both home and work); generally, I go through my home email first (just a few messages, usually), then FF, then work email, then Reader and miscellaneous other futzing around.
- Tudor Bosman
Email first. Hard habit to break ;)
- Yung-Hui Lim
email is the first check of the day - mostly because some system notifications and alerts appear there and I want to know how my day is going to be :-)
- Kevin Cearns
from twhirl
google reader then ff. Only check email occasionally an then usually on iPhone
- Brad Davis Seal
I have a weasel answer: both. I usually roll over, grab my iPhone, and have a quick look around as I'm waking up. I check my sites and site comments first, but FF always comes before email. Once I'm up and in front of my desktop, ready to actual work, I do email. I won't touch FF again until I have my workflow for the day.
- Chris Baskind
Always e-mail.....because I have to check the status of things, and see where things stand with the tasks for the day and projects for the week... FF is pretty close after
- the_IT_factor
both. 1st I open Thunderbird, then I open Firefox. Friendfeed is one of my 7 homepages there.

Had anyone else seen basically no one use this feature yet?
- MG Siegler
I have to admit that I hadn't even noticed it. But then, going to an individual's facebook page is not something I do much of either... it would be too time consuming to go to each of your friends pages and leave comments (read comments). They would need to also show up and be available from your own minifeed/newsfeed to actually be useful.
- Mick Adams
@mick - yeah, i'm pretty surprised it's not on the main news feed yet. bet it will be soon.
- MG Siegler
also, love the idea - but not loading... :(
- Zee.
after loading almost a minute I was able to use it. the topic feature didn't seem to work correctly though. doesn't work for me
- Gaby K. Slezák
i got it to load. the last thing i want from friendfeed is indications of what's read and unread. i much prefer the river of goodness that constantly refreshes and causes no guilt
- rob zand
Rob - I hear what you're saying. I've debated showing unread counts, but I think that FriendFeed.com provides that, so we're offering something different. But hopefully the other features (topics, folders, and recommendations) are still of interest :)
- Patrick Lightbody
Mick, Angel, Gaby - most of the performance issues you saw a few days ago should be cleared up now.
- Patrick Lightbody
Yes, it works pretty good. It does everything they advertise. It's fast and looks good. I'm not sure if I will use it yet, but we'll see. It has some cool features like video email. It's very similar to the new Yahoo mail in interface and features.
- Sam Guzman
ah well, you'd better send me an invite then, better check it out. mick1adams@yahoo dot com dot au - thanks heaps
- Mick Adams
I got into orgoo but it said "loading" on my gmail and never worked?
- Susan Beebe
Susan, does your password have special characters? Orgoo doesn't like that :(
- Sam Guzman
@mike, check your emails.. I have sent you an invite
- Jigar Mehta
don´t like orgoo at all.... doesn´t work on firefox 3 and not in prism... Go for Zenbe! It´s way better!!
- Dieter Schwarz
Yes pleeeaaase!!!! Robert [at] Sanzalone [dot] com
- Robert Sanzalone
My biggest complaint is that they have terrible support. I have asked them the same question about 10 times and have never gotten an answer...even from the IM support. It also takes them forever to release updates and improvements.
- Sam Guzman
Would love a Mento invite please! What's your email address, I will send an Evernote invite :-) Edit: my address is matt@mattharwood.co.uk
- Matt Harwood
I would like an Aviary invite and a Mento invite if you still have some: lindsay at donaghe.com. I would send you an Evernote one but looks like Matt is going to... let me know otherwise and I will. Thanks much!
- Fa La La La Lindsay
How can I find out if you've subscribed to my FriendFeed?
- Lawrence Liu
from twhirl
According to the little bubble, not me. Even though you said the other day I was being added to the World Wide Talk Show. ;-) Oops, can't press Enter for a newline. What I was going to say, prior to the Post button getting unexpectedly pressed, is that I cannot imagine following 20,000 (or even some fraction of that) on FF. It's gotta be tough as it is on Twitter.
- Joanmarie
Guessing that comments are the way to let you know :)
- Jed White
Holy crap. You've practically got the SNN goin' on - Scoble News Network ?? You will all be featured this week on Fast Company TV - Submit bio to ...

This is the greatest thing to happen to anyone ever! Cheesecake for everybody.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I let you know via Twitter, perhaps this is more appropriate.

IF you are able to WITHSTAND fair portion of Russian (sorry, but I try to bring here my community from Russian segment of livejournal.com after buyout disaster) and/or stream of Nokia-tablet/Maemo/etc related-stuff and/or a lot of bitch about this and that... http://friendfeed.com/silpol ;)
- A.T.
Robert, I appreciate your efforts, but I'm afraid that if I follow you (and you follow me in return), I'll have to deal with a lot of noise, and a lot of hype. Once you get worked up about something, you have this need to talk about it all the time, and to impose your point of view (ex: FaceBook). That's why I unsubscribed from your blog a while back. I couldn't deal with it any more. You shot down two of my comments without even bothering to consider them. Take this for what it's worth, no hard feelings.
- Raoul Pop
You're not subscribed to me, here, but anything I have to say that might be interesting to you, I say in a comment anyway... I'm not very talkative, but I enjoy watching your conversation!
- Kenneth LeFebvre
it's a unique experience, for sure, but I'm MUCH more impressed by your opportunity to spend time with Ansel's family! It's the PEOPLE that matter... not the darkroom. :)
- Kenneth LeFebvre
from Alert Thingy
Kenneth: that's true. Ansel's son is a real treat. Was a major in USAF (flew fighter jets) and he's one of the nicest and most generous people I've ever met.
- Robert Scoble
Not to mention his great name :-) But yes, I too have drooled a bit of late, thanks for giving us the opportunity to drool !
- Mick Adams
Ditto. Ken. Meeting people adds so much to life. Much better than status, career, or bling. At least IMO. :-) I would love to meet Ansel sometime.
- Mitchell Tsai
Mitchell: well, meeting Ansel would be something really cool, since he's been dead for a while. But his son Michael? Was a total treat.
- Robert Scoble

from twhirl
FriendFeed has never gone down. Or even gotten slow. It's like the guys who started it worked at Google or something. Oh, wait, that's right, they did.
- Robert Scoble
@Scolbe: Watch it Robert, or you're going to jinx it.
- David Bisset
Twitter out here, also. Good thing, because I have to get some work done. Hoohoo.
- Cesar Cardoso
I didn't know about this until I saw this message. I tried going to m.twitter.com on my phone and got a 500 Internal Server Error. Didn't even get a birdie.
- Ontario Emperor
@Scoble do you want Jaiku invitation? it is more reliable than twitter and some time ago moved to Google's infra...
- A.T.
silpol I've been on Jaiku since the first days. I like FriendFeed a lot better.
- Robert Scoble
Robert, I'd love to see a demo of how you use FriendFeed - I keep trying to move over but just can't figure out a productive way to use it.
- Jesse Stay
@Scoble i wish FF gets sms mechanism for push one day, as twitter or jaiku
- A.T.
Jesse, I'm writing a blog post right now about one aspect: liking and commenting.
- Robert Scoble
I'm excited to see it - I'd also love to see how you browse your feeds. When do you use Twitter vs. Friendfeed, Reader, etc.?
- Jesse Stay
Jesse: I don't have a set routine. I watch FriendFeed the most, though. I also use Google Reader quite often, watch Twitter on either Twhirl or Google Talk or Tweetscan (not to mention FriendFeed), and still look at TechMeme too. I just posted the thing about listening on FriendFeed on my blog at http://scobleizer.com
- Robert Scoble
I've started watching both friendfeed and socialthing - playing with both trying to work out which best suits my needs. It is quite possible that both will, but it also means seeing duplication.
- Mick Adams
i watched frienfeed, socialthing, and twhirl and kept refreshing twitter. all this after working 12 hours. maybe i have a problem.
