This is an amazing app. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the beta. I haven't used it for a while, but it was amazing the last time I tried it, so I can only imagine how much better it is now, It's a very original presentation tool!

"This poll will only be relevant to those of you who actually use the viewfinder of your digital camera (or those who have cameras WITH viewfinders as not all do these days) - but it comes from a conversation I had at a party a couple of weeks back with a group of friends (yes we’d had a drink or two). It started when someone asked me what eye I look through the view finder with? I’d never considered the question before (and had to actually grab a camera and take a picture to work out which eye I use). I use my right eye - but as we surveyed everyone at the party we discovered it was 60/35/5 (right/left/both). So today I thought I’d see if that were the case with a larger sample of respondents."

Right; my eyes, as I've gotten older, have developed into separate functions (according to my opthamologist). My left eye does all the close focusing (6-18 inches) and my right eye does all the distance work; since the eyepiece of a camera is really distance images, it's the one that gets used all the time (i.e., you're not focusing on the eyepiece; you're focusing on the image beyond the camera).

Right eye because if I use my left eye I can't use my right hand freely. However my right eye is no longer the "good" one so I've switched to a display camera now.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
Left eye. Often I frame shots with the lcd tilted to the left.
- Eric Johnson
Left which makes sense because I am left eye dominant.
- Jeff
Normally - Left (close up), Right (far away). Usually with my right when using a camera, but it shifts depending on what's occluded in my view.
- Mitchell Tsai
I always use my right eye, and I close my left. I tried leaving my left eye open, but it seems too weird for me to get used to.
- Cheryl Jones
Right, and I ALWAYS use the viewfinder. I have a point and shoot, and I've turned the LCD off, it saves batteries, and whenever anyone wants to take a shot with it they're always like 'how does it work???'. And of course, the D70s I shoot with at the moment only lets you shoot with the viewfinder.

Welcome Baby Ryan!!! My baby Ryan (17 years!) and I are honored to welcome another superstar to our planet! Love, hugs, and lots of kisses to Baby Ryan, Mommy Maryam, Dad Robert and big brothers Milan & Patrick and of course Grandma!!! My guess on Ryan's arrival (predication) was only 23 hours off. I thought he would arrive on Friday, Sept. 18th at 11:45 pm. Love to all, Kelly & Ryan Kim
- Kelly S. Kim
What a moment, eh? I remember when my daughter came into this world, it was so exciting there were no words for it. Congrats on your wonderful baby boy!
- Michael J. Carrasquillo
Congratulations! Welcome to the world, Ryan. :-)
- Yvette Ferry
Congratulations Robert and Maryam! And welcome Ryan. If I was having a baby today, I'd begin a blog for him/her straight away as an online diary they could look back on when grown up.

I was a c-section six week preemie in an era when that was seriously life-threatening, they didn't know if I would make for the first week. It always gets me a see a c-section / preemie come howling into the world. Welcome, little guy!

Right ON! I am so happy for you. I have 4 kids of my own and they are my greatest joys. Take care and I hope all goes so smooth for him and mom.
- Robert Anderson
Congrats! I wish a long and healthy life.
- Muammer Okumuş
Robert, you newest addition is too freaking adorable. I hope you and Maryam are doing well. Congratulations! Here's to a long, prosperous future!

I looked at at least two pages of every user who posted. I just started learning, so I bookmarked about 20 pages that I'll be coming back to. This was nice, thanks!

Someone demo'd it several weeks ago at a conference and it got lots of buzz which drove people to request invites. Like you, I almost forgot that I had requested an invite, but I recalled it only because of the bear in a bird costume logo.
- Chris Aldrich
@Chris, which, by the way, looks an awful lot like pedobear...
- Marcos
oh right, the pedobear thingy. I do remember that. I must have requested an invite. Thanks everyone.
- amygeek
:-) Which means you'll miss more than half of my content. Sounds like a good idea as less than half of my stuff is even remotely noteworthy. In other news, where's the picture you owe me?

Bring back service icons and the ability to filter FriendFeed using them . . . -/
- Chris Loft
hehe, it's inferior and it's over-hyped :) Wanna debate ? (*puts on boxing gloves*)
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
I agree that friendfeed is more advanced, but we can't deny that Twitter is where more action is happening. Not everyone can stomach friendfeed easily.
- Mohamed Marwen Meddah
Agreed that more action is happening on Twitter (in the UAE), but what is the worth of all that action when all the Twitter noise distorts any value it may have. If you have a few hundred friends, their cumulative noise drowns out everyone. FF just gives you some tools to deal with that - that's the only difference.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
Now if the above conversation was on twitter, mixed with 40 other updates, would you be able to piece together at a glance who is referring to what ?
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
You don't have to convince me, I am already convinced that friendfeed is a better system, and I like having discussions here a lot more.
- Mohamed Marwen Meddah
Yes :) The hard part is getting through to (other) people ... in the UAE :)
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
But the problem is to most people, this is just too complicated (even though it isn't), they'd rather stick with something simpler (Twitter) I guess.
- Mohamed Marwen Meddah
Most people don't use the tools to filter streams here, and so it becomes a lot noisier than Twitter is for them.
- Mohamed Marwen Meddah
Agreed, Twitter is intuitive - even its flaws are human. I guess we'll just have to .. work on [people]. :)
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
MMM, I agree - that might be it. They just need to spend a little more time on it ...
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
"Wow, it's the first time I saw that ad for Songsmith, and I can't believe how lame it is. What the hell were they thinking? An ad like that would actually turn me off buying a product even if I actually liked its concept."

"Just wanted to drop in a little comment to the people/person who have been bringing up Ajnad here and on other stories talking about Yamli; please do not come in here and post different comments under different names just to try and promote Ajnad or any other startup for that matter; I can see your IP addresses and I know when it's the same person. You are more than welcome to submit your project for review using the submission form, which in the case of Ajnad you have done, always using the same IP address. And your startup will be looked at and considered for review just like everyone else. Unfortunately, I'll have to mark any future comments of this kind as spam. Thank you very much for your understanding."
