"Thinking about picking up one of those newfangled multitouch displays for your netbook, but holding off because you’re worried that there won’t be support for multitouch gestures under Linux? It looks like there’s nothing to worry about. While most versions of Windows 7 (but not Windows 7 Starter) include built-in support for multitouch screens, most Linux distributions don’t yet include support these displays. But that doesn’t mean you can’[t configure them to support it. The folks at France’s ENAC Interactive Computing Lab have put together a video demonstrating multitouch support on a PC running Fedora 12 Linux with what appears to be a 10 inch touchscreen display. You can check out the video after the break."

It's serious business - people make bucket reservations.

Is grilled KFC on the menu this year?
- Charles Alden
Grilled KFC is like Star Wars episodes 1, 2, and 3. NONEXISTENT. ;)

I wonder if you could get a bowl of rice with a pot pie. I combine those anyway
- Rodfather
That surprises me and doesn't surprise me.

They jack up the prices. And people actually pay, like, 50 bucks a flippin' bucket!! Christmas cakes are also out of control expensive. They need to be reserved MONTHS in advance and avg. $100ish.

It's a Jewish tradition to eat Chinese food for Christmas dinner. I feel like we should combine these traditions somehow....

@ha3rvey, I'm actually not sure - never partaken in the tradition =P. I had Korean food last night, cause it was the only thing still open in NYC. I think it may be my new tradition.

That's right! KFC has done some brilliant marketing in Japan.

I dig it. Too bad we'll be needing ours all winter next year, or I would totally do this.

Chris and SAM- this is where I grew up and I just loved that they decorated the tractor! We count lights on our way home from my Aunt and Uncle's and this was my favorite of of the 972 we counted!!

My reaction was "Damn, I'm in the wrong profession." All I can do accidentally at work is bring a large #1 online property to a standstill globally. Somehow blowing up a building seems funner somehow.

Chutzpah is a Yiddish word meaning gall, brazen nerve, effrontery, kohones, sheer guts plus arrogance. It's Yiddish and, as Leo Rosten writes, "No other word, and no other language," can do it justice. This example is better than 1,000 words: A little old lady sold pretzels on a street corner for 25 cents each. Every day a young man would leave his office building at lunch time, and as he passed the pretzel stand, he would leave her a quarter, but never take a pretzel. And this went on for more then 3 years. The two of them never spoke. One day, as the young man passed the old lady's stand and left his quarter as usual, the pretzel lady spoke to him. "Sir, thank you for your business. You are a good customer, but I have to tell you that the pretzel price has gone up to 35 cents.”

"That's fine," replied the young man, "now about those 900 pretzels you owe me..."

"Tis the time to be amazed: A 38-year-old man has regained vision in his blind eye thanks to a new stem cell therapy. It won't cure all blind people, but it's a giant leap. Here's how it works."
