Ben - Were you at the new on on the actual strip? They're upstairs at that location. I only looked at some near a few couches (as we didn't eat there), so I hadn't noticed these table ones.

Very cool, I hope these become available in more situations like this. No more paper menus, games to play while you wait for your food, so many possibilities...

Yeah, I think that restaurants are one of the perfect use cases for Surface. Still needs more 3rd party though!

There are 7 Surface units in the new Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. (The other Cafe at the Hard Rock Hotel is still open, btw.) Only one of the Surfaces is elevated. This is the “community table” on the 2nd floor by the bar. It’s cool. Great height to stand next to – with drinks in hand. Two more units on the 2nd floor. Four units on the 3rd floor – two of ’em in the VIP area. Videos of Surface and Booth UXs: http://bit.ly/2XuKcG – Rock Wall: http://bit.ly/RzM4u

It's not that hard to create this using the Surface built-in Scatterview control. However, displaying it with the Scatterview wasn't all that useful.
