Suzie passed our first random border search. Pretty sure it was speedy thanks to the defiant two year old yelling "no way ray".
I got my first "you aren't the boss of me". Karma stings a little.
Ella's daily revelations, which she shared in one breath: our house smells like chocolate and bacon and I like boys that wear necklaces and earrings. Guess it is better than boys that smell like bacon.

Reason #456 why bartending prepared me for being a mom. Keeping a 2 year old up until naptime who didn't sleep much all night is just like keeping the drunk chick's head off the bar. "Wake up, honey. Please don't cry. Let's keep those eyes open. Everything is OK. Want some water?"

Enjoyed a Mother's Day complete with snow, Baskin Robbins and a 4-year old who lost her love but later found it on the stairs and ate it so not to misplace it again.
I am loving paying for coffee with coin currency. Feels like my Starbucks costs just a couple quarters... and that is what I will keep telling myself.
The metric system makes me think of drugs or music. Gimme Sympathy or a kilo--neither help a girl out when chatting about the weather.
It is officially warm enough for Starbucks Canada to break out the iced coffee. Maybe that is why the bear came by yesterday.
Ella experienced her first bear emergency plan. It was not a drill and the bear is back in his home. She thinks he was looking for fish and got lost.
