Even with these added features, I still am not seeing the benefit of Google's Friend Connect, other the blogs you follow being placed in Google Reader - Shevonne

I can't see any benefits either, but there is some cool widgets that we can use though, like commenting, recommending, popular posts and some more. - Svartling

True, but if you use something like Disqus for your blog comments, then does it really matter? In the beginning, I thought it would have more of a benefit than Facebook Connect, but I will have to say I was wrong. FB Connect is more useful now than Google's. However, I think that if they continue on this path, Google Connect could start being useful. - Shevonne
