TWITTER GOES DOWN! Nobody is surprised in any way. - Ben Parr
Yes and Twitter is referring people to Summize. It's sort of like McDonalds getting busy and saying "Go eat at Burger King." - ScottBourne
I like news that repeats every day or so. I never have to look it up. I just assume it is so. - Stephan Miller
@ScottBourne - good one! - JA Castillo
What's next? "In an effort to meet demand from WWDC, we will only deliver tweets containing Apple, iPhone, and/or Steve Jobs." :) - Stephen Terlizzi
At least they are taking preventative action this time. - Kevin D. White
preventatice action? To shut down the service? Screw this lame-site. Friendfeed works fine. - Ryo
Stephen, that's the summize link (featured just below tweet box today on twitter). Twitter should exclude all comments for now saying some form of "soooo excited about announcement...blah". - Dan Covington
I start to like FriendFeed more and more... - Johan Paul
Twitter shouldn't have said they were ready for this. They clearly aren't. FFFTW - Andrew Smith
+1 for FFFTW! - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
The main unfortunate thing is that in reality, it will split my Twitternet. Some people are moving to Jaiku (which seems bigger in Sweden), others jumped on the bright sparkly new kid Plurk, others move to FF. Yeah, I know FF can feed in the others, but several of my mates don't. They are more into the Social part than the Web part, so they don't look too close on how you may actually tweak things. Oh, well, we'll see what happens. I'm just waiting for Hellotxt to get FF too. :) - Sin Trenton
it seems clear that twitter was designed with some very troubling limitations. - Tony
