so far its only Vista and XP, but mobile devices will be added in the future. Starting with the Windows Mobile platform first. I bet if you hack away at it now you can get it to work. If i can hit my corporate servers from my current phone (8525), there is no reason why a simple implementation of this would not work now.

I was mildly disappointed it doesn't yet have a MAC version as I am having some problems with Foldershare there and was hoping this would be a good replacement.
- Robert Gable
Robert - it blows Foldershare out of the water, I wouldn't be surprised to see Foldershare discontinued, actually. Mac should be coming really soon now - I've already seen video of it running on a Mac
- Sarah Perez
While I really like Mesh, I hope Foldershare does not go away. The other day foldershare came in handy when I was at a client site and needed a doc from desktop that was in a folder that was not a part of the mesh. In addition I didn't want to remote in to get it either. Mesh is great and I am imprewssed by it but at least I can run Foldershare on my Macbook Pro and it allows me to take it on calls occaisionally instead of my Windows laptop.

Point your mobile browser at http://m.mesh.com Tried it yesterday and although limited it works well. Even on my iPhone!

The Picasa Application supports RAW files but the picasaweb does not. Just tried uploading a .cr2 file and it indicated that it was not a valid format type. Picasa converts the Raw files to jpg when transferred to picasaweb albums.

I'm glad you saw this Chris, now you really know why I called you up to tell you how Canadians are not going to bother with the iPhone nor Rogers!
- Michael Forian
Maybe the iPhone can be a positive thing to consumers to bring notice and hopefully positive change to the corrupt and greedy cell phone companies like Rogers. If I lived in Canada I definitely would not be buying an iPhone. Those plans are outlandish. :(
- Chris Rodgers
I'm on Fido with an iPhone, which is owned by Rogers. My current plan is decent, but without unlimited data, the iPhone 3G loses its appeal entirely.
- Granteezy
I agree with Granteezy. Will stick with my Blacberry Curve until I see the BB Bold. Then I will decide. Rogers data plans don't look to appealing.

Thanks for the links fotographic. This is exactly what I mean about the iPhone. I hope this creates a stir and people leave Rogers or really show their disgust with the cell plans and not buy the iPhone.
- Chris Rodgers
Thanks for the info. I will hold off getting the iPhone, as much as I really would like to have one. I presently own Apple's touch, so I will console myself with the features it has and use my conventional smart phone.
- Nellie Root
I am an iphone user in Canada. I was eagerly waiting for the 3g iphone - even at this moment, I am tempted to get it irrespective of how ridiculously priced the plans are but I won't because I don't like being taken for granted and also, if I got for it, I am basically vountarily lowering my pants, bending over and asking Rogers to go for it - and do the same to others...
- Kamath (नमः)
gee I've only been saying this since Rogers first announced they were going tobe selling the iPhone but that doesn't change the fact the Bell would have done the same thing if they were selling it.
- Steven Hodson
This is a shame, Canadians are robbed with mobile phones. I hope this will make them realize it 'cause they don't seem to be aware.
- Oli Kenobi
I had high hopes for the iPhone in Canada -- http://tinyurl.com/6ea2rp -- but with no unlimited data I'll pass and go for a Nokia E71 instead...
- Andrew Currie
Pretty Interesting Story - and when I was in Toronto recently, I saw how "money grubbing" Rogers Communications is. Makes you wonder how much bandwidth your consuming when you download anything? Does the iPhone tell you when your approaching your limit, according to the plan your subscribed to? I hope so.

Evernote is nice but the OCR features needs work plus I'm not impressed with the plans. Once I found out about Together from http://reinventedsoftware.com/togethe... I haven't used Evernote since. It has potential but it has a way to go.
- Chris Rodgers
@Chris I would also like to hear what you to say about the security of these services. If everything is moving up to the cloud so to speak. How can I really trust services like Evernote to keep my data secure from data loss or even data theft? This is something I've been really thinking about for a while. And in this case is why I went to a desktop app like Together.
- Chris Rodgers
Off topic, but I have to mention it - Its impossible to reach your blog Chris, "Error establishing a database connection"

Skitch, skitch, skitch...heck Skitch has got to be the baddest desktop app of the year.

I find that Gmail works just as well, though with less organization. The upside is significantly more space, great search capes and offline client via IMAP.

most of my notes are in regards to what I am doing at the moment, so I just jot them down in quickbooks online, which I use to keep track of my billing. Other than that, I regret to say my company has a sharepoint site.

I use a personal wiki called TiddlyWiki. It's a self-contained wiki in a single html file that I carry around on a USB stick (with backups to my main system frequently). I allows a lot of tagging and has decent search capability. I also use this as my todo journal for work so I can always go back in time to see what I was doing at a given point in time.

OneNote w/ UMPC. I have my OneNote files synced w/ laptop and desktop with FolderShare. Works nice.
- Rodfather
I use ballpoint pens and several notebooks or just plain paper with it. Since I also like to draw it is good thing to have those around everywhere. This reminds me of that I should start to take more notes of things in life. Also, I have found out that digital camera is great tool to make "notes" since you can take photo of item or store so you could remember it later when you view what you have taken.

Currently alternating between Evernote and OneNote on a Tablet PC

I use onenote on my 2 laptops and my desktop, files stored on my Dlink Nas device. Evernote on my MB Proand windows machine. Then Foldershare to access everything from each machine.

When using computer, I mostly just write notes to Gmail message and sent it to myself or save as draft. Could use Google Docs more but it's too slow compared to basic text mode of Gmail.

Evernote is my new brain. The old one, she no work so good no more.

The irony of looking up notes in his spiral pad notebook to describe an online note taking app...

I use my Livescribe Pulse Smartpen (http://livescribe.com) most of the time, and Evernote if I'm near a computer. The Pulse pen is awesome, I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to take notes on a regular basis.

the idea of writing on a computer, a tablet pc, is so appealing to me...

I just discovered Zotero while looking for something to highlight and annotate webpages. It does much more than that, and I'm looking forward to working with it.

Index cards, Evernote and iPhone notes. Together looks REALLY nice, I'm truly impressed. However, the ability to get to my notes on my Mac, my iPhone and on my PC at work has me hooked on Evernote. Still waiting for MS to release OneNote for Mac. OneNote just can't be beat. It would be nice to see Evernote develop a richer feature set, something closer what Together has.
- Jack Collins
I used to carry around a pad or notebook. But now I just e-mail myself, that way I don't have to re-transcribe.
