Uh oh, you used BBQ as a verb, on friendfeed.
- Alex Scoble
As a Guided By Voices fan, I saw that as 'Hardcore UFOs'.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Alex, I think I actually used it as a noun. I think. If I BBQed that would be a verb wouldn't it? I don't know, any English majors around. Does it help if I also cooked with Bacon?

"Excellent post Adam. That;s almost a novella unto itself. except it's not fiction. What's the non-fiction equivalent of a novella? :) Anyway, great post."

"I didn't say Mike wasn't upset with us, I just clarified that we didn't break the embargo. Like the Gawker post points out, Andy broke the embargo, due to some WP glitch and Arrington got mad at Waggener Edstrom because it took 45 minutes before someone let him know about it."

"Just wanted to correct a few factual inaccuracies: We're not an Ad Agency (I feel better already) Andy Beal broke the embargo, not us http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2009...... And I contest the statement that we're idiots, but you're entitled to your opinion of course. To be totally transparent, in case it wasn't obvious, I work at Waggener Edstrom."

"The FAQ's (which are buried on the site) are very vague. http://www.diigo.com/07y4u Q: Does the Keiretsu Forum take commissions from Keiretsu investments? The Keiretsu Forum does not take warrants or commissions for capital raised through the Forum. Q: Is there a presentation fee to the Keiretsu Forum? There is no fee to present at the Deal Screening meeting. However, if at the Deal Screening meeting your company is selected to present to the full Forum, there is an administrative presentation fee"

"Thanks for humoring me. I agree that SM in general is very overwhelming right now. Filtering is a painfully difficult process and managing conversations across all the various channels is even worse. Definitely sounds like another post."

"It's just one of the effects in the PhotoShop App. Of course, it was already a little bit blury to begin with being a camera phone pic :)"

"I guess the easiest way not to “win” this lottery is to not post any links this week. I find this an interesting way to manage the data flood. I’m really interested in this topic lately so pardon me while I ask way too many questions: Are you really going to be that black and white or will you apply some context to it? If someone has a history of providing mostly high value links will you still give them a pass this week? Are there people that are already on your shit list that you’re already thinking about unfollowing? It seems almost impossible to not share one link that doesn’t meet your standard when some people share 5+ links a day. Maybe it’s how you define “sucks”?"

"Jeff,I admit it is tough. I find if I don't blog before opening email then my chances for posting going down significantly. This is why I get to work between 7 and 7:30. I'd also recommend blocking out your schedule, maybe 2 or three days a week first thing and do it then. It's not easy though, but things seldom are."

"The long tail is basically the new markets that are enabled by the digital revolution. It's why Google can build a 20+ Billion business one click at a time, or Apples iTunes is such a big market. Apple makes just as much money on the hits as they do the obscure single (the long tail). What this graph represents is all the possible markets in a given product group or business class. Taking marketing firms. If a startup wanted to carve out a niche there are only so many ways to approach the market before they Are competing on price or start to specialize by customer type or region. Hope that helps."

"Jorge, to be clear, I never said Google Wave was a marketing ploy. I said the change in the way they went to market and the timing of their event was a marketing ploy. They intentionally built up hype around a product that wasn’t ready for that kind of attention. I agree that Google Wave could be a valuable communications/collaboration tool. But I think it will be best served as a platform for others to build on. I personally think Wave will be Google’s answer to SharePoint. But like SharePoint it’s not usable by the masses until someone puts a better layer over"
