I'm a podcasting newbie. Anybody able to point me to a handy newbie's guide? I want to get the tagging and stuff right.
I am watching this thread also, looking for the comprehensive optimised podcast setup. - Deano @ Byron New Media

I learn a few things from the internet marketers I buy off, & one of the things I learn is that I don't want to be like some of them.
You hit the nail on the head, I feel mean sometimes because I subscribe to try and learn how to market my stuff not actually to buy their stuff, but this is short lived now and I use most of it as a learning curve of what I don't want to do when I eventually get to that stage. - Groobers
Hear hear! - I think Ed's approach is unique. - Inspired Writing Research
Indeed! :) I definitely don't want to be like any of them at all! No offense.. :) But, I really don't like the way 99.9% of them do things... When they need you to buy something off them, you get tons of emails, but when you want some advice or the answer to some questions about the free stuff they give out prior to a launch, you get ignored. They're like machines.. :P I wonder if that's a good anamoly... - Art Y.
I agree with Art Y. - TrafficBug
It's like anything else in life..you'll find people you like and respect and want to emulate and some you wouldn't give the time of day to. Take the best of what you see and make it your own. - Michael Wilson

Autonomous Robots Invade Retail Warehouses | Wired Science from Wired.com
"All the robots are told is where products are located and where they need to go. From there, the robots, which look like massive orange Roombas, figure out the rest. They locate the stack of shelves with the needed product on it, slide beneath the stack to pick it up and then find their own routes from the stacks of stuff to human operators. And they manage to find just the right time to get themselves recharged for five minutes out of every hour." - Paul Buchheit from Bookmarklet

No layoffs, no sick days, no coffee or potty breaks. This will help unemployment. - Phil Boiarski
I think the end of the article is almost the most interesting part for me: "At many sites, workers have begun to name their robots, complete with "Hello, My Name Is" name tags. From there, it's only a short step to playing fetch with your robot. "One of our customers calls those name tags tattoos, and the robots are adopted by employees," said Mitch Rosenberg, Kiva Systems' VP of... more... - Scott of Two Countries
I think what we need are more robots that make jobs. You could have these mechanical workers that break down all the time and require two or three people to keep them going. Have GM build them! - Colin Wright

That comment made me smile as well, maybe a website of eds wild and wonderful sayings is in order..... - Groobers
It still doesn't beat "Poo Poo Head" I still chuckle about that one.. - Groobers
Groobers: definitely. Sausage and Sweet. Poo Poo Head. Shows how true Ed's recent message about being yourself. It was re twitter, but it applies elsewhere too. I'm so glad I'm following Ed the fashionista. - Isha (Marysia)
Another one I love, actually not sure if Ed said it or someone else, but they said on Twitter it should read "What I should be doing now....." that is so true, as I've often thought my name should have been Sally Sidetracked.. - Groobers
Well I can procrastinate no longer, wish me luck, I have a date with a Squidoo Video, Day 11 here I come! - Groobers
Sausage or sweet? How funny - suppose that is an over-balance of too much protein. - Lisa
I'm really looking forward to it. With SWBN gals, June & Kath, this is getting to be a really good meal. Sorry I took it off-topic! - Isha (Marysia)
What an awesome idea Ed...looking forward to it - Cheryl Louden
