Yeah, it won't work at all on my HP 1000. Doesn't even see the connection.

I didn't have any issues with it on my MSI Wind. I believe that Jolicloud uses the same kernel and network drivers as Ubuntu does, so you could possibly find some help from Ubuntu peeps.
- Jeppe Toustrup
Did you hardware reset the wifi card? Mine has a switch i don't know if the HP 100 does it might be a Fn key
- Fee501st
Never heard of this before. Well, there goes my evening...
- Eph Zero
Eph its nice, but its invite only right now since its in alpha, so it make take few days to get in, But i like it because i can finally watch hulu videos on my netbook with no choppy framerate!
- Fee501st
Yeah, just noticed that and requested an invite. *sigh*
- Eph Zero
Thanks Christopher, i couldn't find that driver lol
- Fee501st
Zachary TG: i read forum posts where people had no problems at all.
- Fee501st
hey veronica, it's wierd can you try to contact us, usually we don't have issues with hp mini, anything you did before it stopped ?
- tariqkrim
It could be the wifi card itself. Can you dual boot into another OS and see if it works there?

Running it now on my Lenovo S10. No problems at all hardware-wise. It's pretty slick. I don't have an invitation yet, so can't check out the cloud stuff. If I don't get an invitation sometime soon, I'm sure I'll forget about Jolicloud -- which will of course keep me from talking it up here on Friendfeed. ;-) ... didn't I hear something about, what was that, Chrome-something or other, oh yeah, Chrome OS -- that's what I'm thinking of. Jolicloud might want to move a little faster.
- Christopher A Carr
@christopher, if you want an invite you should register on the web site www.jolicloud.com
- tariqkrim
I'm a dumbass, the hardware switch WAS off! Foot in mouth.
- Veronica
Tariqkrim: Had I not already registered some time ago, I wouldn't be complaining. I didn't expect that an invitation was going to magically show up in my inbox.
- Christopher A Carr
Firefox is horribly sluggish in Jolicloud -- particularly scrolling. I've encountered the same issue before in other Linux distros, but, hmmm... can't seem to remember how I resolved it. A finished Chrome for Linux as a default browser in a future, finished version of Jolicloud, would be preferable.
- Christopher A Carr
If you remember, I'd be interested to hear what it is that you do to improve the speed. I have to say though, I use Firefox on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and this weird slack based thing that I try to avoid whenever possible, and I barely ever have issues with speed or performance.
- Dan Monsieurle
Oh, I was going to ask about the hardware switch, but didn't want to be a jerk. I've done that more than once myself. *blush*
- Eph Zero
The thing is, I thought I even tested that! I must not have given the wifi enough time to warm up before I got frustrated.
- Veronica
at least your brave enough to admit that! ;)
- Fee501st
well we are improving existing Firefox and recompiling Firefox for Linux with the right options ,and you can use chrome :)
- tariqkrim
I've not actually looked at Chrome on Jolicloud yet. How are you doing it? Chromium, Wine, or that Linux alpha that I caught a glimpse of on TechCrunch... here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009...
- Dan Monsieurle
hi Tariq.. 1.5 years ago i was playing around with protopage, netvibes and pageflakes. And i must say, Netvibes stands out the most. Love the interface.

And friendfeed looks like the perfect alternative way to communicate directly with his unformal network today. Btw it's really bad for Twitter and their unability to manage efficiently their (scheduled or not) maintenance. But I still love the service.
- Shamir Ramjan
how long has it been down for now? been about 2 that I can see I wonder whether the twitter folk themselves are monitoring conversations about them in FF? Good to see you on here Tariq..
- Riaz Kanani
btw Scoble - he is former CEO of Netvibes ;)
- Riaz Kanani
Twitter aren't helping themselves, are they...
- Jonathan Beckett
allons Scoble, inutile de présenter M. Krim! Bienvenue parmi nous!
- Alexandre Testu
