I'm willing to bet 37 Signals is a lot like Google and that Most their revenues come from their Deck advertising service and not thier apps.
I'm not expecting it to be long until Gmail only works on Google Chrome. Not a big deal, when that happens, though.
@IntegralPoker as web-app complexity has gone up, cross-browser reliability has gone way down (not referring to MSFT here, but FB and Goog)

flexcoders : Message: Trying to compile LZW compresses resource strings into aResource Rodule - http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group...
I'll say again: when companies like Google & Facebook struggle w/cross-browser, complex Ajax apps, what makes you think you'll pull it off?
@jesterxl LZW compression on WSDL is aweomse. I have 12 services, one that was 80 KB WSDL went down to 10KB. I owe beer next time in Boston
@jesterxl Thanks. I'd have never thought of that. Makes sense that can load the WSDL from any string resource. Will look at this.
It looks like I could optimize the initial load of my Flex SWF down to about 500 KB, but still have the 480KB of WSDL overhead. #needbath
