"As an individual, it kind of gives me the heebee jeebees to give Google more data, but I'll probably use it anyway. As an administrator who supports systems and users on various networks and often finds myself not sure what DNS server to use on a network, I'll definitely use it all the time. Until now I've loved OpenDNS, but I always forget the ip and have to look it up - 8.8.8.8 on the other hand is a lot easier to remember. It also occasionally frustrates me when OpenDNS resolves an invalid domain name, so that's another plus. (I know you can configure OpenDNS, but its another step I don't have to worry about)"

"This guy is doing some benchmarks and provides a simple shell script to test the speed compared to other dns servers: http://www.manu-j.com/blog...... Seems as though it's probably much faster than other public services like OpenDNS when outside the US, but in the US it's about the same speed or slightly slower."

Funny thing is, if I was that developer and Jobs sent me an email like that instead of a C&D from a lawfirm, I would probably just change it, no big deal. lol

"Considering half of my followers are spammers, that Lists Following You page is going to quickly become useless. Also, since Lists are being handled like virtual users with their own following/followers and a kind of profile page, they need a Bio line for descriptions."

"I see lists people put you in show up on your profile page. Can you remove yourself from a list someone else puts you in? That page is going to get clogged with spam."

Transitioning through the knee of an exponential curve... In 28 months, all 6 billion + people on Earth will work for TWiT, at which point, the TWiT meta-organismic hive mind wakes up, eats Google, and proceeds to disassemble Jupiter. ;-)

Neat, but with aids being such a problem in Africa and a shortage of condoms, I can't help but think that condom could have been put to better use.

Who says science doesn't give us beautiful and awe-inspiring things? This is as beautiful as anything on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
