there is a bug : I don't see the link "send an invite to Olivier" ;-)
- Olivier
Cool... I wonder how this will scale when a wave hits thousands.
- Rhawi Dantas
"This wave is experiencing some slight turbulence, and may explode. If you don't wanna explode, please re-open the wave. Some recent changes may not be saved."
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
Is it possible to find groups? Like in ff?
- Rhawi Dantas
It's hung now - I think it must be because I'm using Firefox on Linux :)
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
I find chatting a little confusing. If the other person edits their last blip instead of adding a new one, should I edit mine too or reply to the original blip ? I think people will need some time to get accustomed to this.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
One of the problems I have with the UI is a complete lack of a "mark all read" or otherwise known as Inbox-Zero-Please! ability. It takes minutes for me to archive each wave and there must be 1000 in my inbox alone.
- bear (aka Mike Taylor)
We cannot currently remove participants from a wave. I can add you, but I can't remove you, or even myself from a wave. The "Remove XXX" button is disabled.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
When you are 'chatting', it's irritating to have to use the mouse to click Done. Hitting enter moves to the next line. And I can't tab to the Done button either.

A sign of a true technologist...already ideas for improvement ;-)
- Holly Rae, FFer
On the other hand, Robots /seem/ darned easy to write... I have an idea or two, but any suggestions from you guys/girls ?
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
looks terrible UI... even not google style.
- xiawinter
In the waiting list to try it. Patience wearing thin
- lelapin
Strangely enough, they give us a sort of gmail a/c ! If I want to change my photo, it sends me to a gmail interface for username@wavesandbox.com, which looks _exactly_ like your normal gmail. I'm guessing it's temporary.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
call the waahmbulance for me! DO WANT!
- Jim Hearts FF
Sorry Ryo, I'm afraid we have not been given any invites. When (and if) we are given that facility, I will post here on FF. Though I doubt if that will happen because Wave is not quite ready.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
how are you liking the private beta?
- joee muhane
It's okay. I find myself preferring FriendFeed because it's stable and all my connections are here !
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
Ahsan, hit Shift+Enter to post the wave. You can also use it as the "Reply" button. So, hit Shift+Enter to "Reply" and Shift+Enter again when you're "Done".
- sebastian☆rocket brother
To continue my observations, there is a great wave where devs exchange code snippets (there's also a robot that syntax-highlights code). It's just like a Google Discussion Thread.
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
There's a bot called Bouncy, which will 'bounce' other bots off a wave. You need to say "bounce:thisrobot"
- Ahsan Ali aka. Slick
Can't wait to get into this stuff. Google Wave is a very interesting platform, hope it does more than just email 2.0 over time.
- Mark Aitken
( I love all the delicious Wave stuff and screenshots you're posting Ahsan. Everyone else who've got their hands on it have been keeping it to themselves and the rest of us are left in the dark. This stuff is awesome! keep' em coming, thanks. )

"In Europe, one vast colony of Argentine ants is thought to stretch for 6,000km (3,700 miles) along the Mediterranean coast, while another in the US, known as the 'Californian large', extends over 900km (560 miles) along the coast of California. A third huge colony exists on the west coast of Japan. While ants are usually highly territorial, those living within each super-colony are tolerant of one another, even if they live tens or hundreds of kilometres apart. Each super-colony, however, was thought to be quite distinct. But it now appears that billions of Argentine ants around the world all actually belong to one single global mega-colony."

Time to refine the definition of 'colony'.
- Kevin Fox
Ants have certainly infested my house. They bite too! I wake up every morning with a bite.
- Ana
Now how can I get myself in charge of that colony... I could rule the world... egggzzzelllentttt
- Thomas Mader
I have them everywhere. They even invade the house and I don't even know what they're going after most of the time. Yesterday they were all over the living room floor. Going for that cereal bit under the sofa? No, they were swarming a piece of junk mail. Sometimes, they just come out via the hot water knob of the tub and just mill about.
- Admiral Anika
Scary. I'm glad to be in Canada where the cold weather keeps things like this at bay, for the time being.
- Mitch
@kfury it's a colony all right. Just wait till their galleons come for the loot :) on another topic, I just read that there are, in fact, only about four dandelions in the whole USA - genetically. It's just that every one of them covers multiple states, being represented by millions of separate plants.
- Michael Bravo
Me too! In small, medium, large and extra large. They laugh at the ant traps. They gobble down the poison like it's hot fudge sauce. They crawl across my bed. I am in despair . . .
- Amy℠
I hate mosquito's, but that's probably because I didn't meet an Argentinian ant yet.
- Ton Zijp
Here a bingle, there a bingle. And bingle was his name-o.....................
- Molly
This reminds me of the p*nis game in Yahoo Political Chat. We had a troll who regularly came in and would only talk about abortion (was very aggressively pro-choice). Nancy1982. Come to find out she was a he and for some reason hated the word p*nis. So...... we started the p*nis game where we substituted the word p*nis for movie titles. Spider-p*nis. League of Extraordinary P*nis. Flight of the P*nis. You get the idea. Funny thing is Nancy1982 never stayed around long trolling for a fight. :-D
- Molly
Now _that's_ a funny game! Bait the troll! :-p
- Rick Cogley
I don't usually bait people since ignore works in chat but Nancy1982 was around for YEARS trolling. I just couldn't stand it anymore.

I actually created these groups a while back and then forgot to tell anyone else, so I'm missing some of the more recent startups. Post links to any missing blogs and I'll add them.
- Paul Buchheit
http://singularityhub.com/ - very cool website! ....YES. maybe we are the first immortal generation .. all this organs regrow, aging process slowed and then stopped, and reversed ... but yes, do we, original biological people, stand the future prospect of losing the control to the autonomous artificial intelligence? if so, when .. some say 30 years / Kurzweil ....../?
- Petr Buben
You can add http://etherpad.com/ep/blog/ to both XG and YC. (Will comments on feed entries get reflected in both groups, or are the feed entries copied-on-import to each group separately?)
- Aaron Iba
Added, Aaron. Unfortunately each group will have its own copy. We hope to fix that eventually...
- Paul Buchheit
I think it 'd be great to have YC discussions on FF's good UI than HN threads' ugly UI. Some how, altho' I know it is wrong, I am always under this impression "Those high reputation YCers get a special UI" LOL
