Since this post the Milestone's been removed from Expansys. Annoying. I ended up getting an HTC Hero to tide me over til something better arrives.

But with Nokia not delivering the N900 in the UK (what are they doing? focusing on the US? how short sighted) I dont know how long it is until I give in and buy an android phone

Really? I thought Nokia was selling it in its own stores. Hadn't paid much attention though. It interests me but the lack of third party apps puts me off for now.

Nokia N97 vs Nokia N97 Mini vs Nokia N900 vs a netbook - who wins, which one would you buy and why?

I currently have a very bugged N96 and looking for a switch. I know I've kinda asked this before but these are all my selected options. Which should I go for? I'm favouring the Nokia N97 Mini atm. I've asked T-Mobile if I could swap as I'm having so much trouble with the Nokia N96. I'm waiting for a reply but I'm sure it will be no. I still have a long wait before my contract expires. :-(

N900 is not comparable with rest of crowd... you don't compare apples and orange, do ya? you don't compare li'l buses and li'l truck, do you? ;)

N97 is a pure mobile serie. I dont think to carry a N900, it may be for data collection ...I dont know prices in Turkey yet

Kol, I think what silpol is trying to say is that the distance between "just a phone" and "more than a phone" is just so much bigger for N900. That is, it is way, way more than a phone, far ahead by leaps and bounds.

OK, so what does the N900 give and not give compare to the Nokia N97? I know of the difference OS. Does this make a huge difference though? I like the Symbian OS.

the way how N9x were designed keeps development apps for them problematic, until recently you couldn't do it without significant effort AND resources (money, people, etc)... for N900 you can start with amateur knowledge about Linux and make them one by one (adjusting necessary mobile specifics with info from maemo.org and with community) - in a way, chances to get apps there are MUCH higher... or you can ask someone to write - finding Linux programmer is easier than Symbian/S60 programmer.
