"Ofcom has published detailed maps of Britain’s 3G mobile data coverage - and they make grim viewing for owners of the iPhone and the forthcoming Palm Pre."

I live in Kidderminster in the Midlands and my iPhone 3G has never seen a 3G signal in it's life!

The iPhone Dev Team has released a new version of RedSn0w that jailbreaks the iPhone 3GS, as well as 2G, 3G, and iPod touch 2 on OS 3.0. It runs on both Windows and Mac, and has the same instructions for each as previous versions. The problems with Icy and Cydia have allegedly been resolved, and Ultrasn0w should work on the 3GS after you jailbreak with RedSn0w. Mobile Substrate and Winterboard are also now working on the 3GS. BigBoss is hosting the files here: Windows, Mac.

I hope we get an update for the 8330. RIM's selling the hell out of them.
- Gunny The Fuzzball ™
Me too, my poor 8330 is beginning to feel out-dated of here lol
- Shelly
I'm pretty sure RIMM has come out and said that the 83XX devices will not receive an OS5.0 upgrade. I could be wrong, I hope I'm wrong (I own an 8320) but I feel like I read that somewhere. The could at least hook up 4.6.

"Not every customer of the N97 is going to be a raving mobile genius. Some of them are going to be actual customers. In fact, let’s be honest — nearly all of the N97 users on the planet are going to be end-consumers with a soft spot for Nokia."

Hey, I was just thinking about this yesterday. With all the cool new phones (especially N97) the OS really needs an update. But what about an Android Nokia?
- TobiasVerhoog.com
The biggest problem for Nokia and yet they can't seem to get there act together in time. They might as well go with Android like HTC. I wll buy that over iPhone any day.

[ by Steven Sande on Jun 27th 2009 ] » […] Editing your video Editing is a bit of a misnomer. I'm sure somebody out there is working on the iMovie of the iPhone world, but at this point you are limited to trimming the video. If you want to add titles, join clips, or apply effects to your video, you'll need to export the video (see 'Sharing your video', below) and then use a Mac or PC editing application to perform your magic. The $15 HP 12c and $20 HP 12c Platinum provide the same business-focused functions and formulas as the hardware models, and the $30 HP 15c includes all of the original's scientific algorithms and calculation sequences, including matrix, root, and complex-number functions

I have an 11c that I used all through high school. I treasured that thing. Sadly, it's dead now.
- Bill Scherer
I really would like to see the 41C, just for fun. I so badly wanted to have one, but there was not the slightest chance that I could afford it.
- Oliver Bouchard
there is a 41c app on itunes already - I'd like to see a later one like a 48 or 50, or that CE app they wrote ages ago that did awesome symbolic math
- Paul
I think I still have a 15C in a drawer somewhere. I'll have to root around for it and see if it still works after all these years.
- Chris Johnson
A piece of software this advanced, and this costly, I'd expect it to have some kind of results retention/ formula memory across sessions, not merely replicate the functionality of its real-life parent (sibling?). But then what do I know of financial calculators anyway…
- ianf ⌘
Paul: Thanks I'll definitely get that one. Some 50 times cheaper than the original. But then if you count the iPhone as well...
- Oliver Bouchard
Ryo because the test includes an Android G1 phone
- zsafwan
The G1 gets nearly the same score when muti-tasking, and I got a 77.7 with full (528 MHz) clock.
- DMKrow
zsafwan: This article is not a test, it's bullshit!
- Ryo
IMO it is not an apples to apples comparison as the iPhone OS 3.0 browser has a newer build of webkit. More notes here. http://friendfeed.com/applero...

Good news. I called Audible a month ago and they said I will get an email when it was 8900 curve ready. Oops.
- Dutch
It's compatible, but will it actually run on an older slower BlackBerry like my Pearl 8100?
- james
works so horribly that it is jsut frustrating to use, waiting for an update.
- Dan
I agree, I was expecting a better user experience and was very disappointed.
- Lyndon Washington
I wish audible saw that people commented on this over a month ago and they still haven't released a working copy of their app for blackberry. my copy worked ok with the free download but stopped working after a few days all together. can't we get this fixed?
- Dan
