I checked out Zune HD in Best Buy yesterday and it looked great.

Tip of the week: Select multiple pictures for your desktop wallpaper more easily (Win7) Instead of going through the Personalization UI to choose the wallpapers you want to rotate through, there's a pretty easy shortcut you can do instead. Simply open up the directory containing all the pictures you want to use in Explorer. Highlight the pictures you want (click-drag or ctrl/shift+click). Right-click, and choose "Set as desktop background". Thanks to Jordan Cohen

Various leg/knee scars from falls as a kid, a burn on my right thumb caused me to lose most of my thumbprint (it's just a smooth area now), and a few inches long scar on my back from a birthmark removal. Edit: Oh, duh. Forgot the scars from my gall bladder removal.

on my eyebrow and nose. i got them when i was 11. we got into a car accident with my mom and brother. i was the only one permanently injured. i had two plastic surgeries but i still have the scars and i love them. i have other ones on my knees from when i was little and falling all the time. then there is SEA letter on my arm. my best friends' and my initials. i made one of them to cut it with a knife on my arm.

i have one on my left knee from hopping a rusty fence. i have two scars -- one on each knee -- from pavement injuries about 21 years apart. i also have have on my right wrist from ... you know, i'm not entirely sure what did the cutting. but my friend was riding her bike and i was holding on to the back of it while on skates. she went up a driveway ramp. i fell and didn't think to let go. got dragged past a couple of houses ... lol. the only time i have ever needed stitches.

I have a scar on my right eyebrow. Don't remember at what age I got it but I do remember how I got it. I was running and I slipped and banged my head on the edge of a step of the stairs. I suffered a cut and I bled quite a lot my cousin sister grabbed me and took me to the doctor. I think I had four stitches but not sure, it's been more than 15 years now.

I don't have any scars with dramatic tales (is that a good or bad thing?). My most recent are various scratches on my wrists and arms from our cats, some from when we first got them last winter, others from more recent playful biting. My main scar is on my right upper arm, from where my dad removed a mole (a mole has shown back up, partially ON the scar!) when I was younger. A friend of my cousin's said it looked like a bullet hole. :)

I remember another, which I probably repressed. I have a little scar on my forehead from banging into a concrete utility pole, while watching girls in short skirts play tennis as I walked down the street. It knocked me on my behind (the pole, not the girls), and a girl passing by on the street took pity on me, wiping the blood from my forehead and face. Until I told her what happened! Then she gave a big harumph, turned on her heel, and stormed off! :-)

I was always bummed out as a kid how well I healed. My only perm scar is on my right ring finger where I was burned. My parents bought me a kit to build a phone and I didn't look when taking the soldering iron from my mom.

I have one on the bottom of my right foot from surgery to remove a bone chip back when I was about 12 years old. I literally stepped on a bone that my aunt's dog had been chewing. A week in the hospital, 3 different antibiotics, and a week of 2-a-day shots in my thighs after I got out of the hospital.

My biggest scar is on my knee, which happened when I was running downhill and fell and slid down the hill for what felt like ten feet (was probably a few inches). Still don't have feeling there. My biggest starts 3 inches in front of the top of my left ear. It travels down around said ear 3/4 of the way down my neck then turns and goes halfway across my neck towards my adams apple. It took something like 40 staples (not stitches). A small price to pay to call myself a survivor. Scars are cooler than tattoos.

Because I was SO punk rock at about 15, I used to carve band names into my hand and arm. You can't read any letters but there are some odd little squiggle marks. Hardly visible. I've 2 scars down the back of my lower legs and they wrap towards the inner ankle from my birth defect. HATE them. Trying to get over it. I always cover up. I'd rather be topless than barefoot because I am that emotionally traumatised from childhood. Kids can be cruel.

My smallpox vaccination was done on my lower leg - doc didn't like to scar girls' arms. It is a deep dent. I covered over it with a tattoo. Most of my other scars fade over time; permanent ones include appendectomy (age 9) and an unnoticeable scar under my chin. Oh - and a big pink smile where my left breast used to be.

Indent on my left shin from a knee-high concrete wall (the tip of my combat boot hooked it while I was jumping over..), nasty one on my right shoulder from hitting a cable while rollerblading in the dark (only shows up when I've got a tan, looks really cool though), and a line across my right thigh from running into aluminum house siding as a kid. Plus, a bazillion more from stupid injuries I've gotten as a kid. :D

I have a lot of scars but the main one is when I was 3 and fell on a dustpan made out of an old oil can. I was in the Philippines. I was cut clear to the bone a little below my knee. Because it was in the country, the only doctor we had was a "witch doctor." She took some needle and blue thread (my most vivid memory from when I was a kid) and just sewed me up. For awhile I still had the stitch scars.

Classifieds (which is what Craigslist is destroying) was the crack cocaine of newspapers. Classifieds aren't related to the news or delivering the audience of news. Classifieds could appear anywhere that enough eyeballs collect. The audience for NEWS is differerent from the audience for classifieds. That so many newspapers depended upon the easy money of classifieds was a convenient drug. Now newspapers are going cold turkey and need to find how to live with the smaller NEWS audience.

Leo spends a lot of his own money on products to be sure that he doesn't "owe" manufacturers anything. Even his advertisements are only for products he uses and likes himself. He only requested this unit because he records today, the day the Pre goes on sale, so he couldn't go out and buy one. If Leo is biased about a product or a company it's because he genuinely likes it. It's something Leo takes very seriously, and he had every right to be upset at someone impugning his honor, rightly or wrongly.

Before Thursday, Leo had said that he intended to buy a Palm Pre as soon as it came out, but that he'd like to get one a bit early, if possible. His radio show is on Saturday and he wanted to have one to review during that show. I don't think he gets review units very often; this one was something of an unexpected surprise. Gilmor Gang should continue on TWiT, with Steve in charge of the guests he wants to bring on. Michael Arrington can cause friction but there has been plenty of outrageous comments on GG. Arrington is too much of a force in the digital universe to simply ignore. I very much admire Leo for what he is doing with TWiT and understand losing his temper. You know, I've been a fan of TWIT and Gillmor Gang since the first time I heard both podcasts. I know Steve and Tina, and have a great deal of respect for what Steve does with the Gillmor Gang. Rob: I think Leo is trying to build a network with a variety of styles and topics. That's key to having a strong network. I know a radio station owner who has both liberal and conservative talk show hosts who hate each other. But by doing that he has a far bigger audience than if he just went all one way where everyone got along nicely. Plus the station looks far more professional and objective than if it were all run by Rush Limbaugh wannabes. Same for Leo's network.

I struggle with his way of drawing out a story because it always appears to be disrespectful to the person he is trying to pry the story out of, typical of mainstream journalism IMHO. There is absolutely no reason to bait like that when someone is trying to provide a review. Reviews are never completely unbiased, but Leo always discloses and provides the most unbiased reviews that a sensible human can.

He has full editorial control on what he has on his network, and that is his right. I only stated to listen to GG after it came to Twit. Dialogue is good to work through an incident such as this. I'm glad that Leo and Mike responded so soon afterward. Apologies came quick and bitterness didn't have time to set in, which could have caused enmity between them for years to come. I've learned to be careful with strong initial reactions because I may not be totally understanding where the other person is coming from, and that is the source of so many of these kinds of problems.

I'm not a regular listener of GG, but the times that I've tuned in seemed like there was drama and people were a bit flaming. I like shows with less drama than GG. I'm not sure who has reason. I don't think that this is black and white. Having the show squeaky clean wouldn't be interesting, but the drama just gets annoying and simply delays the tech.

coldbrew, I think with that, Leo's taking risk then. Steve's got to state what the show is for it to make sense on Leo's network. That's nothing against Steve's show - it's just in conflict with the organization of Leo's network.
