"Designed to shield the home from the intense desert sun, the roof rests on curved concrete walls. Black slate tile floors add drama, as does an indoor-outdoor swimming pool and boulders massed in the living room. When Lautner saw rocks exposed on the 23-acre site from grading, he directed the contractor to dig 10 feet deeper, uncovering massive rocks that would became an integral part of the interior design."

"As a result of the Industrial Revolution, wooden furniture production became widespread. Further advances in industrial technology created new design possibilities utilizing different materials to make coffee tables. Many of the contemporary designs of today’s coffee tables that use glass, chrome plating, stainless steel, formica, acrylic and aluminum have their roots in the 19th century."

"Standing beside the Vitra Design Museum by Frank Gehry (1989) and the Conference Pavilion by Tadao Ando (1993) VitraHaus in Weil am Rhein, by Herzog & de Meuron (2010) connects the two buildings. The concept behind its design connects two themes which appear in the work of Herzog & de Meuron; the stacked volumes and the typical house figure which we drew as kids."

Then just paint as you please, add shelving, accessories and hardware, and you’re good to go. Behind their chic aesthetics, these decorative wall panels are also available with LEED-qualified, fire-rated or water-resistant cores. For more details visit B&N."

When Steve Jobs announced the iPad, I thought it was neat, but I didn't see how it would really fit into my life. What could it do for me that my iPhone or MacBook Pro couldn't? It seemed like that gap Steve Jobs said the iPad filled was targeted at a group of people I didn't belong to. So I asked the TUAW readers if you'd be getting one. Then I began talking to my family about the iPad and discovered some surprising things: the very people I thought would never buy one plan to, and the people I thought would jump at it are holding off.

Generally on the PC it does more precise controlled screen captures (regions, with or without cursor or menus etc). I presume it also does video screen captures as on the PC?

Cmd+Shift+4 lets you select only a region of the screen, and Grab.app has a timed option so you can activate menus, etc. but I guess what Snagit adds are the annotations.
