My herb-rubbed turkey was also a triumph. Moist and delicious.

And, oh, port. Forgot that I deglazed the Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, and pancetta with some port.

Dinner turned out beautifully! Turkey with roasted garlic-onion gravy, Brussels sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts, mash, cranberry sauce.
@kristieannereed Just wait until the actual meal itself. This came after gingerbread pancakes with Anjou pears. Up next: full turkey dinner.

Taking a page from the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special, my wife put some white Toblerone in my stocking. Uncle Bryn would be impressed.
@Poetic_line We all just love to cook. I am making Xmas turkey dinner tonight and I am doing a big cheese plate for lunchtime nibbles.
My mother-in-law is making us all gingerbread pancakes with some lovely and fragrant Anjou pears.
