Can anyone tell me where I can read more about the insulin receptor and how it works? It is almost not covered in the textbook. A video will help a lot :)
well, of course I tried that and I read a lot of pages. I was just asking if someone has a really good and clear source because it is a complicated process. I only post questions I'm really strugguling with, rather than expecting people to find every answer for me. - Teodora Petrova
What is it you are struggling with? The first few links from that search have some very clear explanations. - Dr Alan Cann
You do much more detail about insulin receptors in the second year, so you don't need to know too much at the minute...just what their end target is. There is a lot of information in 'Molecular Cell Biology' by Alberts et. al - you can access it online here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites.... Or, alternatively, any good physiology textbook should have sufficient detail for you :). - Jaspreet Seehra
http://www.youtube.com/watch... this may help after about 2:00. :) - Jaspreet Seehra
thank you, Jaspreet :) and the video was very useful ! - Teodora Petrova
