Godspeed to you, Kahn. Do us proud. http://kahnscorner.blogspot.com/2013...
Actually, let's make this easier - anyone who wants to write vintage computer capsule descriptions: #iatosec on EFnet.
I could really, really, really use help with some preservation/vintage nerds writing summaries of what each of the systems *were*.
My (extremely rough, best-guesstimate) belief is TOSEC has preserved images of 90% of all commercial home computer software from the 1980s.
I have a pile of refinements to handle with it and a lot left to do, but over 400,000 images of cartridges, disks, cassettes, people.
It's time for over a decade of intense software preservation and study to come out into the sunlight and see what shakes out.
Anyway, what I've been hinting at for the last two days - I'm putting a copy of TOSEC on the Internet Archive. This sets off a lot of things
Adding new virtual hosts in 1.3: "Doo de doo tap tap DONE" Adding new hosts in 2.0: "Dee doo WHAT THE GODDAMN hmm I HOW ABOUT no fuck QUIT"
To all my Denver-area friends: Phil Lapsley is in town with his "Exploding the Phone". book http://www.tatteredcover.com/event...
Uploading what looks like roughly 500,000 software images (disks, cartridges, cassettes, what have you). People have been busy.

I see US Airways has a five hour flight with no seat power but gogo wifi. So I guess no internet going home.
