I keep reading about how kids shouldn't speak this way to their elders. But frankly, people shouldn't speak this way to other people PERIOD. Regardless of age. Middle school is pretty much a minefield in hell. At that age I spent most of my time trying to fly as low under the radar as possible and I still managed to get attacked just for being me (oh the time I made the mistake of saying how much I loved my thrifted ProWings...the only shoes my family could afford). I'm sure the hormones as well as developing serious cliques lends a lot to way these kids act. But that's not a good excuse for acting like this.
