Wondering why Biotorrents.net is failing... enough data, but not enough seeders. Where are the libraries mirroring these torrents?

perhaps because most people still don't understand that P2P file sharing doesn't have to be illegal/bad/immoral/dangerous? I totally agree *all* research institutions (globally) should be seeding research data AND journal publications. Distributing the load is a good thing, We should do it! I seed All PLoS journals and some linux ISO's when my lab computer is on. Don't think my IT dept. would like it if they knew though :/

I suspect the Web has more spam, malware and other content that is no doubt in violation of their computing policy than it has "legit" content...

Perhaps they'd be less keen on blocking Bittorrent if they could charge departments for bandwidth?
