"Hey Tiffany, I thought I should update you considering this is a developing solution and still not resolving all the issues from this mess. I started with enabling Hotlink Protection through our host but it's not very customizable so we're using the Imagaurd plugin. The plugin is okay except the only options are to have "View Original Image" redirect to a watermarked image, a new page with just the image, or the homepage. None of which are as good as redirecting to the actual article. We turned watermarking off because Facebook picks up the watermarked image. The other issue with Imaguard and enabling Hotlink Protection through a host is having to find User Agents and websites to Whitelist (Tumblr, Pinterest, Google Plus, Linkedin) because images now won't show up when sharing to these sites or anywhere else that has a direct link to an image. Really, all we want is for Googlebot to stop hotlinking. I'll let you know once I've found something 100% helpful." - theComplex
