http://twitter.com/chrispi... - Guess what some Gnomedex attendees are going to get? Yep! A Special Edition "Pirillow." Who knows how many of these are going to be made, though - so if you have the opportunity to grabbing my felty face, you might want to...

I want one!!! Geez, that's cuter than Chris even, and smells better too, I bet!

This is so friggen funny! It will look great on our white leather couches. Can't stop people from sitting on it though. =)

Is this the same dog that was stolen or did you get a new one?
- Anika
Anika, this is Lila. I got her to be a companion dog to Bunny, who is a littermate to Dulce, who was the original dog who got stolen. (I know! it's confusing to me too.) Anyway, both dogs are small and white, but otherwise quite different. Lila's about 3 years old, she came from a shelter.

This site (http://olijfje.punt.nl/...) was hotlinking an image of the Twitter Fail Whale from my blog, so I gave them an htaccess 302 to the finger image. Hate hotlinking, man. And they have decent traffic too.
This is what it looks like: 76.204.205.252 - - [04/Jun/2009:11:29:34 -0400] "GET /wp-content/uploads/2008/09/twitter-whale.png HTTP/1.1" 302 373 "http://olijfje.punt.nl/..." "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/1.0.154.65 Safari/525.19"

I'm thinking instead of the finger, I should probably do a sell for my blog... I'm getting a bunch of hits from that blog!

"so-and-so loves my blog so much, he stole this image. Maybe you'd like it too?"
- Nathalie
Are there any Dutch living in the house? I want to know what the article says. Otherwise I'll Google Translate it.

@Davis, it's harming me because I pay bandwidth charges on each one of these images served. It doesn't take even a minute to download the image to his server and serve it himself. It's just rude.
- Jorge Escobar
@Davis There's no such thing as free bandwidth. ISPs offer "unlimited bandwidth" when they know you won't go over certain limits, but they'll cut you off if your site gets a lot of traffic
- Jorge Escobar
@Davis, I use AWS, so I pay for each byte sent out. But I guess mostly I have a problem with the idea that you just use someone else's image without even giving credit.

This one is of Britt Selvitelle who runs User Experience at Twitter. In the background is Loren Brichter, developer of Tweetie, and Dom Sagolla, author of @TheBook (#8 user of Twitter, who was there when Twitter was invented).
