That used to happen a lot at the last office job I had. I even got laid off after I came back from disability. Totally expected. They fired one of the top sales women in her division. She had an emergency hysterectomy, a heart attack and learned she was going blind, all in the span of 4 weeks. She came back to work 4 weeks before she was supposed to, driving in early because the blindness made it hard for her to drive at night.
