“can anyone recommend a reliable ftp program, free would be good otherwise inexpensive, mine's crashed and no matter what i do it won't work” - http://friendfeed.com/e...
CoreFTP is free at download.com; you might want to go there and look at their FTP selection. CoreFTP is free, and hasn't let me down yet . . . 8-) Good hunting!

The FlashFXP program is recommended by Frank Kern - www.FlashRFP.com . I have not used it, but it is free 8-)

Transmit from panic.com...used for years with super big transfers...cheap, regular free upgrades...love it...love panic.

Seriously the best one is FileZilla. You won't regret it. Free from Mozilla. ROCKS.
- Mindy Koch
Wow, didn't realize there were so many options. I have been using FileZilla for over a year now and love it. Easy to use and have never had a problem with it.
- Corinne Mitchell
I have used several (paid and free) for work and home and FileZilla is the best free one out there hands down. And honestly, there isn't any reason I can think of that you would need anything else.

just wanted to say thanks again, i have gone with filezilla and it works brilliant, thanks for all the help :-) this room is brilliant :-)

It sounds like Google is cracking down on mini-sites. Great info, thanks. The only thing I wonder about is this: when did Ben Hart posted his "Issue 13 Volume II"? There's no date anywhere. Is it a recent change in Google Adwords?
- Rita
So is it worth us building more of these smaller sites?
- Elliot Webb
Elliot, our main site is a blog. Each post is a page. Ben says you need at least 25 pages of content, but he is guessing. So, maybe 15 is ok. 15-25 posts are not hard to achieve, and we should be posting regularly to our blogs anyway. As soon as you have 25 posts in your blog you're out of danger :) Or you're asking about "supplemental" sites like Squidoo Lenses?
- Rita
This is not news. It's all part of the google slap some time ago when so many advertisers found their prices going through the roof till they learned the new rules.
- Frann Leach
These new standards are related to the PPC-advertisers, where the advertiser redirect their visitors to a simple landing page.
- Philippe de Tiege
Glad to meet you! Are you either Belgian or French?
- Jean-Marie Moës
Hi Jean-Marie , I'm from Belgium (the flamish side-in the north)
- Philippe de Tiege
Hi Philippe, i'm only on day 5 myself, but its great, have learned so much already!:).
- Elliot Webb
I am on day 6 but I keep backtracking because when I get to the next day I understand the previous day better.
- Mary Tenhulzen
Great! I was born in St Agatha Berchem quite a while ago but lived in Wallonië (Gembloers-Namen) for most of my youth, began my adult life in Brussels before moving to France in 1985, where I still live today (nearby Tours, Loire Valley).
