Google home page now fades in. For those users who are interested in using a different application like Gmail, Google Image Search or our advertising programs, the additional links on the homepage only reveal themselves when the user moves the mouse. Since most users who are interested in clicking over to a different application generally do move the mouse when they arrive, the "fade in" is an elegant solution that provides options to those who want them, but removes distractions for the user intent on searching.

Aaargh! I misremembered the time of the webinar, & missed it! To those who were on it: did you get any info on when the recording will be put up on the web?
"Google Dashboard is a new service that shows a summary of the data stored with a Google account. You'll soon find a link to Google Dashboard in the "personal settings" of the "my account" page." This will be nice to help keep your accounts managed

They had a warp.swf meme going around in reddit a couple of days ago. It was something like bubbles of videos where as you move your mouse over particular video it expands into more bubbles of related videos - sorta like video recommendation engine.
- TrafficBug
I knew it was on Google search but not on YouTube till I went to watch Lisa's video yesterday and decided to do some research and noticed it. Was it on Youtube since then? Never noticed it before, but hey, s**t happens :)

Wow that youtube search Wonder Wheel is too cool! (I just reread your original post Ron so deleted my previous idiotic comment).
- Isha (Marysia)
Noticed that some of the searches give the Wonder Wheel & others don't - weird :D
- Isha (Marysia)
Thanks for the link TrafficBug. That youtube hack was really cool
- Ron"micronet"Harwood
@Isha I noticed that it doesn't always show too. Maybe they are still tweaking it or maybe there isn't something relevant for it to spin off on with certain vids?? Just a guess.
- Ron"micronet"Harwood
it has been there for a while and it will only display info when it has relevant info to show.

Click on the blue button arrow on the right to see the lot. This post goes together with this one: http://friendfeed.com/thirty-... (Unfortunately you can't upload stuff in a FF comment).

Isha, Can I pull your leg? I'm going to anyway. You should be reading the book "Getting things Done". Too much time spent organizing you folders is a clear indication of procrastination... Although useful, it will not add to your bottom line. :-)

Hehe Juan :-D Pull as much as you want. I now save dollops of time trying to find everything - it was driving me crazy. I have Getting Things Done ;-)

Hi Ron I was going to upload it as a pdf for download, I never thought about having it as a post, that is an even better idea, any tips on doing either would be good :) I have uploaded a pdf before in weebly but never with wpd so have no clue. I like the idea of it just being a hand written post but no clue how to achieve this?
- Groobers
I don't know about WPD, but why not upload it to scribd or another file storage service and share the download link in your blog ;)
- Jorge Blanco
@Groobers I don't think it is possible to upload it from within your WPD contrl panel. The best way to upload it (or any file) is with FTP. I use Filezilla which is very easy to use. All your FTP info is shown in your WPD "manage websites" area. ** If you need help setting up FTP, Direct message me here or PM on the forum**. You would just upload your PDF to your server and than link to...

This is a duplicate of my post on the 30dc+ forum: I spent so much time arranging my 30dc+ stuff into meaningful folders, and also putting the darned numbers in front of them that I thought other 30dc+ers might like to see the way I've arranged them. This first shot is an overview of the folders:
Click on it to see it at a better resolution. Then you can see the files that are in each folder by going to this flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos... You need to click on each screenshot to see it at a larger resolution. Hope someone finds it useful :-)

If anyone has good ideas as to what BN and DE stand for I'd be interested to know :-D
- Isha (Marysia)
just joined 30Dc Plus and not sure exactly where to start. There are a lot of vids from 2008...should I start with the oldest one? iTunes is working real hard to download them all. Not sure if this was a good idea, but it's done now and I am a little confused. I haven't seen any written content on the 30Dc Plus page am I missing anything?
Each month's stuff generally can be studied separately from other months. I recommend downloading everything you can straight away, & putting them into the following folders: BN, DE, Facebook, Friendfeed, Link Building, List Management, Market Understanding, Product Creation, Talks, Tweetdeck, Video Production, 30dc 2009 Planning, 30dcPlus Admin stuff, Downloaded not yet sorted. Then...

Welcome kathy and good luck with your continued journey, you'll find a lot of helpful people here who are always willing and more than able to lend a hand, so in the continued spirit of the challenge just ask, and don't worry about looking stupid, I do both all the time and no one seems to mind :)

I forgot to say that the lessons on link building are particularly good and may be a place to start following along from after 30dc.

Sounds like I'm going into the right field, then! Internet Security is my major in school. These attacks are very real and quite dangerous. Don't worry, though. I'm one of the good guys. ;) Thanks for the post!
