Be sure and add the xmarks add on for firefox. I recently had a crash and easily restored all my bookmarks and log ins. It is a can't do without add on. P.S. You can actually even access your bookmarks from a remote computer from xmarks.com. (Formally known as Foxmarks)
Thanks-is that like what Flock used to do ? - Inspired Writing Research
Been using it since it was Foxmarks. Awesome addon. Allows me to do some productive work when away of my main station ;) - Jorge Blanco
I WHOLE HEARTED-LY second this suggestion. I lost ALL my bookmarks last year when I had transported them to Flock and it subsequently crashed...taking all my bookmarks with it. It took me over 3 1/2 weeks of back and forth emails with the Flock support team to recover a PORTION of my previous bookmarks. xmarks is a must have if you want to completely avoid the nightmare I experienced...great recommendation Brian! - Roque
Can you explain what the xmarks are as Firefox has crashed twice? Thanks - linda saunders
Xmarks is a Firefox addon (works in Flock too) that can sync your passwords and bookmarks between multiple computers as it saves them on a secure server. So if one of your systems crashes and you lose all your data Xmarks still has a copy of it on the web. - Michael Netsch
