Does anyone know how to split test a sale offer in the side bar of a Wordpress blog? I would really like to know, but have not yet found an answer after around 4 hours of trial and error....
Ad Rotator doesn't seem to be trackable. I want to be able to combine it with google analytics

if each goes to a separate version of the landing page....

yes, but I don't think it will work with a sale offer in the side bar

You would have to test this, but use the Ads Rotator script http://kpumuk.info/project... and link your ad(s) to go through a redirect page that you could have as a goal in analytics. When your ad(s) are clicked on they would go through the redirect page which would log in your analytics goal and land the potential customer on the landing/sales page.

Thanks I have been searching for this type of ad rotator script to display multiple banners from a pool of affiliate banners.

Does that script attach a cookie? If not I guess I would need to set up the ads with different redirect links in order to track it. That brings up another question - I heard that pretty links are not trackable in google analytics, is that true?

@Tim I would just have an ad image that links to a redirect page (php) with your affilate link as the redirect. That should credit you for the sale if one happens. Your analytics goal (which would be the redirect page) would show a hit triggered from the redirect page pass through. Or...you possible could use a 1x1 pixel on the redirect page ( I would use a slight delayed redirect) and track that. Don't know about Pretty Links and Google Analytics sorry, but there alot of other tracking scripts out there you could set up.

Thanks for your advice, Ron. I'll try that out...
