TechCrunch broke the embargo. Here's my review on the new FriendFeed interface. - Thomas Hawk

At 9 a.m. this morning, FriendFeed launched a new user interface at beta.friendfeed.com. The new beta site will run in parallel with the current version of FriendFeed at friendfeed.com at least for a while. The biggest difference between the old version of FriendFeed and the new version is the introduction of live scrolling updates. I had early access to the new beta site over the weekend and spent some time playing around with it. Here are my initial thoughts. - Thomas Hawk

Unfortunately TechCrunch broke the embargo which makes the news fair game at this point. I wish they'd kept it until 9am. Seems like a fairer way to deal with things and it would have been better to have FF beta launch at the same time. Hopefully they launch the new beta before 9am now. - Thomas Hawk

yeah I'm sure that they launched it because the news was out when TechCrunch broke the embargo. It would be frustrating for people to read about it and not be able to try it. I really like it. I think it will have a lot more mainstream appeal which should be good for FriendFeed's growth and our own experience here. - Thomas Hawk

I love that "hide" works in filters now. I don't remember it working in lists before. But I might be wrong on that. - Thomas Hawk

The hide button works, but only temporarily. As soon as you go back into the filter, you hard work hiding is undone. - Chris Nixon
