"New evidences from epileptic brain activity hint that our brain might be able to generate holograms in a high dimension space of associative links - much like a recent view of the universe as a hologram projected from hidden dimensions beyond space and time. The advantage of the 'holographic principle' is that when you cut hologram into half you will have two smaller whole images from each half. This "whole in every part" nature of holograms provides the brain with an entirely new way of coding and decoding of information. For example, to produce in parallel multiple copies of the same memory for associative information processing. Inspired by the above, we present a new functional holography approach for analyzing multi-channel recordings such as ECoG (electrocorticograph) recordings of cortical brain activity and of individual neuron dynamics in cultured networks. The common approach is to evaluate the matrix of correlations between the recorded activities (inter-channels...

Actually, if you refer to the Shiva Samhita and if it was written in 17th or 18th century, then the yogis are late. Extended work on various aspects of the philosophy of mind are older than that.
- Alexander Kruel
If you refer to Hinduism (5500–2600 BCE), Yoga (3300–1700 B.C.E.) in general, then you can hardly say scientists were late since back then religion effectively was what science is today...

Anyways, I find your comments pretty amusing. Keep it coming :-D

"An exocortex is a theoretical artificial external information processing system that would augment a brain's biological high-level cognitive processes. An individual's exocortex would be comprised of external memory modules, processors, IO devices and software systems that would interact with, and augment, a person's biological brain. Typically this interaction is described as being conducted through a direct brain-computer interface, making these extensions functionally part of the individual's mind. Individuals with significant exocortices would be classified as transhumans. The magazine Living Digital gave this description of the concept: "While [the traditional concept of] a cyborg has included artificial mechanical limbs embedded chips and devices, another interesting concept is the exocortex, which is a brain-computer interface. In theory, the exocortex would be a computer-like processing system that would co-exist with and enhance the power of the human brain. Neuromancer is a book that has talked about such a scenario.""

"It feels good to realize that before they were rock or pop stars, these people were just like us (or worse). Without money, fame, and an image consultant, what are the chances that they’d have an aspirational look? Below is a trip down memory lane that features school yearbook photos from some of music’s biggest stars."

I've seen in in Austin, Texas at South By Southwest. Was impressed. Look is amazing given the small budget.

Looks very interesting. Not sure how it would reach me except somehow via the Net. Meanwhile, waiting for District 9 to hit the screens (announced for August here iirc)

As a garment is made through the assembly of parts cut from sewing patterns, likewise, myths and fables are a kind of fabric cut from human experience. In this way, I work to shape a narrative that references fable, myth and folklore. Making paintings in the above fashion, I ask three central questions. Is our memory of stories from youth in jeopardy of fading, or losing its relation to modern life? Is quickening technological advancement altering the relevance of stories and fables woven through our childhood? Are there therapeutic or harmful effects from these changes? The wording and schematics on the sewing patterns present a material metaphor by reinforcing the notion of a story, allowing the viewer to “read” the surface of the painting. Patterns and templates are the genesis of assembly, but once they are realized, they are tucked away or discarded. These paintings expose and liberate the pattern to become something to keep.

J. Phil, okay, then it is me not understanding you can do video easily on an iphone and my team not having the bandwidth to do this yet, thanks for the fact checking
- Loic Le Meur
Loic, I think you mis-understood me. I don't know. I don't have an iphone yet. I just heard that video can be done on an iphone, which makes me wonder why apple hasn't done it 'officially' yet.

Just posted my reply via Friendfeed. Very cool Loic. This will change the game again. What's up wit pushing out new features on Sundays. Seems like lots of 2.0 companies do it.
- Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Brian, we had sent the code to our Friendfeed friends and they decided to push it on sunday. I like it ;)
- Loic Le Meur
Which way do I go? Right or Left! LOL Just joking! Very useful!
- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
this will be awesome if it doesnt show in the seesmic main timeline

Nice one Loic. Keep up the great work. You're doing a great job listening to your community. It's all about integration.
- Larry Kless
Loic. congratulations. The new player is great! Really a big step forward usability-wise. Question: if someone adds a video reply, does friendfeed get notified about the addition to that the post get's back on top of the friendfeed timeline. It would be nice if it did: bringing active conversations back on top is one of the nicest friendfeed features. Kudos again. Funding -> stability -> features = nice momentum!

Loic, do we still have to pay 5 Euros for Cappuccino in Paris or do we get a discount if we tell them we know you? lol
- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
Congratulations on this new development; Happy that Seesmic continues to grow and integrate with other socnets! : )
- Susan Beebe
It doesn't work with Posterous now. Is this because of seesmic's update?
- Shinya ICHINOHE
What are the chance of gettig that function in Twirl?

Heh -- finally Seesmic works inline in IE7 -- can now unhide Seesmic posts (that doesn't mean I will view them but at least the option is there ;-) )
- Brian Sullivan
Edwin, yes, if you add your seesmic account to Friendfeed (like you do for all services) then you do a reply (or any new video) it will post it in your Friendfeed feed.
