There's an issue present in BoingBoing's response that I think is going to be a crucial issue for bloggers in the years to come: posting responses, links, etc. are a subtle form of support — even if you don't agree with the person you're discussing. In the long run, who wants to pay for server space to maintain posts that effectively give another person more juice? I have no problem doing that with people I like, but not so much for people I don't agree with. - Thursday Bram
