Snow Leopard incorrectly detects some third party monitors and doesn't turn on LCD font smoothing. This is absolutely necessary if fonts are looking crappy in SL. - Tim Finley
MacBook troubles. Frozen UI -> hard reboot -> boot screen never finishes -> restart and try safe mode -> still no luck :(
