I think the technology is advancing so fast, features are not as important as carriers, ecosystem, and connectivity to other devices. For now I'll stick with apple, but in a year maybe if google glass matures, and one cannot easily connect to google glass with an iphone, maybe getting android might matter.

Apple need to release something that is much more than a boring TV. It needs to be an iScreen. Come in 4 sizes. Super thin, with Gestures, Siri and AirPlay controls. Apple TV installed, with iOS, FaceTime and the App Store. This iScreen would not only be for the sitting room, but also Shops, Schools, Businesses, Hospitals, Museums, Hotels, etc

The biggest thing is HARDWARE. Google Glass Version 1 is going to be old within two years. What will glass generation 3 look like? The app ecospace will evolve, hardware less so. We get stuck with deployed hardware for years. Look at old android devices in the market. Apple could take glass market share with new sensors like eye tracking.

the reality is I want one device when I'm out and about, and the iPhone has too small of a screen for me, it pains me to get around the iPhone screen with my stubby fingers, painful for my eyes to look at the tiny iPhone screen. There are app issues with both iOS and Android. One example - Wall Street Journal - their paid iPhone app - only works with the latest iOS release vs supporting all in reverse. So on 1,2,3 iPhones you can no longer access the mobile site.

The issue is that Microsoft doesn't have to innovate. Its good vs. good enough. Companies do not get paid on being innovation adopters. They get paid on execution (which at its long tail is risk aversion - that's why so many companies still run XP: 99.99% of the bugs are known). Most people do not need a better version of PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Hell - most people don't even use Visio.
