anyone that can help me out with this? The problem I have is that a) I only have 1 sata port in my PC, so I can't directly copy the old drive, and b) I don't even know if the old drive works well enough to get the information off anyways. Is there a way I can get a bare Tivo OS on a new HD? - Tim Hoeck

ok, looks like WinMFS (http://www.mfslive.org/winmfs/) might be an option for me: http://www.engadgethd.com/2008... - then I shouldn't need to deal with a bunch wacky command args for unix, and now I should be able to use my SATA->USB converter - Tim Hoeck
